I still have some setup to do but the robomower did a little wander around the yard. Our yard has a lot of plant islands that need to be masked off from his territory. I think I'm at a point where the work can be a bit more piecemeal. At one point robomower was headed directly toward the street to the worry of my son who sprinted toward it. It got to the edge of the curb, stopped and turned.

Sounds like you don't HAVE TO get a new mower but you want one. Go ahead and treat yourself. I have an EGO mower that I'm super happy with - its just nice to avoid an internal combustion engine. That said, if I had an ICE mower I might run it until it died, or sufficiently annoyed me. Could you borrow a similar model from a neighbor? Might get the urge out of your system.

In a way, it doesn't surprise me as they can be used for money laundering. That said, they shouldn't sell gift cards in amounts that can't be used. Fun fact - my mac was once hacked (online, easy and reused password) and my amazon account was loaded with gift cards. I told amazon but they did nothing. I basically tried to give them gift cards and they declined to take them.

Its difficult to tell if progress has been made buuuut.... FIL canceled today's memory care appointment, claiming bike accident and illness. (not true) Brother in law got him to say he'd go. He rescheduled for 2 months from now. To me, thats a bit too far in the future but its better than nothing. I think my brother in law will be the primary contact going forward for anything requiring

Overall, my father in law is doing quite well but his memory is fading. He's in his late 80s so its not surprising that he's lost a step but the problem is that he doesn't want to admit to it. He's bounced two rent checks in the past couple months and at one point stated that he thought someone was siphoning off funds (which we doubt) but he's unwilling to let any family members take a look at hi

I give you permission to buy Ryobi. I owned a couple of their tools for 15 years or so and never had a problem. The batteries (NiCad) had died and instead of getting new ones I upgraded to DeWalt. I'm glad I did because my house has a number of projects that can really test power tools. Your friend recommends Ryobi because he can easily imagine destroying their tools in short order but you won't
