Quoteenrico7300Buzz,
Well, if you have the tall Apple Portrait display, Ergonomic ADB Apple split keyboard, or an SE/30 Ethernet card, let me know :0)
Or an SE/30 video card. Yes yes, a video card. That would be sweet.
Enrico
got rid of the portrait display many, many moons ago; no regrets. never liked the split kb. been kicking myself for getting rid of the last video card (had a flee

Quoteenrico7300I'm with JEBB on this one. Don't be dumb like me and keep an SE/30 for this purpose.
we also keep an old SE/30 around to deal w/ really old floppy stuff (and play tetris in black & white), but Mrs. Buzz's work went to all online training this year, after using a CD/DVD based training program for years, that also required writing to a floppy to track and record progress, for w

QuoteMGS_forgot_passwordI wonder if you have to take out those metal ones to get through airport security.
if they're "real" brass, they probably won't trigger the metal detector, though they would light up an xray type device, and they do look awfully menacing. the massive titanium bolts and rods in the back of my back go through OK, but the add'l stainless steel plate and support sc

QuoteztirffritzWhere can I purchase those little pointy plastic things that make shirt collars stay pointy? Apparently womens clothing doesn't have them because my wife keeps thowing them into the washer and they disappear. I'm not complaining because I obviously am not doing the laundry, so this is a small price to pay, but I'd like to replace them.
yep, they're collar stays, not "colla

bring your own BB gift card w/ you, and immediately zero out and transfer the balances from the newly purchased cards to your card. did I mention IMMEDIATELY?, if not, do it immediately so that your card (w/ number unknown to others) has all the $$$ and remains under your watchful eyes and protection, away from possible duplicative internet usage. oh, and congrats on the hopefully good find...

thanks guys..., am looking for best sounding dockable 1 piece unit, that can be reasonably easily lugged from room to room and plugged into AC outlet 2 or 3 times a day, 3 or 4 days a week... cost not nearly as important as sound quality, at least up to around $300...

yes, there are zillions of models to choose from, and am leaning towards the klipsch iGroove at this point. what are everybody else's favorites, and why?... cosmetics do not enter into the decision, and size only matters if it starts getting too big, and for reference, the iPod HiFi is getting too big... battery option isn't material either. thanks,

gone through many dozens of iMacs here, and at clients' sites, and am still hanging on to a similar graphite beast, simply because of sentiment... it was one of our original slot loaders, and Baby Buzz even used it for a couple of years, too. it was our first airported model, and it worked great; tough to let go of. I think we still have a small pile of adapters for the original AP cards to fit t

I envisioned the thing as the ammo being fed from the center, and being sped around an outgoing spiral progressively faster, such that the exiting rounds were exiting at the highest speed attained, followed closely behind by their accelerating brethren. if the rounds were being accelerated by some sort of electro/mag pulse technology, the innards may not be spinning anywhere near warp speed, if a

Paul, if the rounds are to be driven by centrifugal force, is it not possible that the recoil is being absorbed by some sort of gyroscopic effect as the rounds are going 'round and 'round before exiting the weapon? it would seem that the mass of the rounds that haven't exited the weapon yet, would dwarf the individual rounds as they go bye bye... the recoil thing didn't bother me as much as the d

In Toast, was using on board Pioneer 104, and DVD was selected, have 109 ext in FW case that could try... in Disk Utility, it started as though everything was OK, then balked, saying "too big"..., but was using FW HD as target drive if that makes a difference... have done 2 GB'ers, or so, but was wondering if there's a size limit w/ these apps... thanks,

Racer (Edit: & Monster), yes, there is a "secure empty trash" in X.3.9 under the Finder menu, but my understanding is that it just writes erroneous random data over what's there for the files that are in the trash... I was hoping for something more akin to what was available under OS 9. Normally (for a paying gig) I'd do the whole copy, zero out & reformat, then restore the desi
