I've purchased 3 refurb nanos; no problems. But my mom bought a refurb G5 iMac that was a complete dog; it was eventually returned (and she bought a new Intel iMac).

I've had this come up frequently. Usually the sellers are totally unaware they could not recover PayPal fees in that manner, and were grateful that I explained it to them.

Although the iMic says you don't need a pre-amp, I've found the sound quality awful without one. I picked up a cheap ($20) stereo pre-amp on eBay and now my vinyl recordings sound great.

My experience is different. My Gmail spam folder is filled with messages of all kinds, and only a small percentage of them start with Re: But I agree with your statement about Gmail's spam filter. It does a superb job of snagging the spam messages while rarely mistaking a legitimate message as spam.
