QuoteMichael Here's one that gets positive reviews but who knows regarding a particular tv mount... Just bought this for my new TV mount... Will report back.by spacescape - Tips and Deals

QuoteSarcany Quotespacescape Just chatted (ichat) with my buddy. Didn't realize they are in TX on vacation... I don't get this. A LOT of people are taking vacations right now. Without having been vaccinated. Deliberately traveling to places with relaxed pandemic laws. With the intention of abandoning pandemic precautions. And then they're gonna come back and spread the disease across their eby spacescape - Tips and Deals
Just chatted (ichat) with my buddy. Didn't realize they are in TX on vacation. It is bad... slept in the 28 degree car for 3 nights... Rationing whatever they could find to eat. Was able to get cold soup from a a church and find a loaf of bread and lunch meat from a convenient store. The hospitals full of deceased people (froze to death). Quotesteve... QuoteArtP That said, the increased size of the newer Dot does give you some improvement in the sound quality. There's less vibration through the body of the speaker and that means it performs better at higher volumes, better placed to fill the room with sound. It's not hugely different, but it is better. I have 3rd and 4th generation dots and use the newer one for listening toby spacescape - Tips and Deals
Just picked up a zenith stereo console and l am planning on hooking up an Amazon Echo to the AUX inputs. The Echo Flex looks like it may work for what I need but thinking of putting it "on top" so it can hear my commands better "if needed". I'm also seeing that the Flex is "not currently available" at Amazon so maybe they have a new model coming out? That being saidby spacescape - Tips and Deals
Have some projects going on at my place and already discussed him running an outlet behind the TV (when it is mounted) and will figure out something to hide "low voltage".by spacescape - Tips and Deals
Going to be hanging / mounting our 55” Samsung smart TV and Vizio Soundbar (I believe it’s a Vizio 4251W-B4) to the wall and looking for some suggestions. I’d also like to run my wires through the wall. I believe I have the following mount in my garage that I didn’t use but it will be in my family room so I want the TV as close to the wall as possible and would like to mount the sound barby spacescape - Tips and Deals
QuoteMrNoBody Wow spacescape! After viewing those products, I feel dirty and cheap but I often have that feeling when buying from bezosville Please post some pixs when it's completed. ps: Be careful if you "cut the end" to shorten them because it's no longer sealed (From what I've read). On the waterproofs you have to scrape back the silicone that covers the contacts @ theby spacescape - Tips and Deals
Yes the rabbit hole is huge... sorry. ha ha. Be careful if you "cut the end" to shorten them because it's no longer sealed (From what I've read). This is what I ordered but haven't installed them. Most likely I'll have the contractor install them seeing it involves soldering and my kitchen... I know 90-95% of the time we will be leaving them "white"... I usually like Waby spacescape - Tips and Deals
Thanks. For the most part these will be "white" in a channel (so it looks finished). Just think it would be nice to be able to "tweak" the whites to make them a little warmer than normal.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
Do I want RGB+W ... or RGB+CCT controller in order to get RGB Warm White and Bright White.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
Ok, doing a small kitchen remodel (New Appliances, Back Splash and Paint). Our electrician is coming this week to assess the electrical situation (removing drywall and reworking the 3 way strips and all the plugs so our backsplash looks nice). We currently have halogen puck lights under the cabinets that we would like to replace with LED Strips. One switch controls all the under cabinet lights anby spacescape - Tips and Deals
Doing some upgrades in our kitchen (backsplash, paint and getting our Corian Polished). Wondering what's the best way to store potatoes, onions and other vegetables that don't get refrigerated "off the counter"? Possibly on wheels? Not sure... just looking for ideas. Thanks.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
Call support. I went two weekends ago to one that was 30 minutes away because the one near my home couldn't see me until the following week (due to covid I guess). Got there and they wanted to replace it but they didn't have my iPhone XS model "in stock" so I wasted my time and should of just had them do a replacement over the phone and sent mine back.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
I keep getting "tricked" into keeping basic cable... But, Monday I'm going to try and cancel cable. I have 600 Mpbs download right now and for some reason I thought the internet only plan was much lower.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
That sucks. I really wanted an EcoBee but went with the "dumb/smart" thermostat (Emerson Sensi) which could run off of batteries seeing we didn't have a common wire to our downstairs thermostat (boiler) but the upstairs does to our air handler unit. Overall we are happy. We can even tell our overlords "amazon" to turn it up and turn it down. But, thinking of trying Apple soonby spacescape - Tips and Deals

QuoteMichael Glad you and your family are ok. Some time ago somebody posted a PSA about replacing detectors every 10 years. That was news to me but I looked into it and so replaced my 30 year old detectors. Then last year we had a lightning strike that killed our very old alarm system. So I bought a new system and put in the First Alert Z-wave detectors along with it last October. I put the dby spacescape - Tips and Deals
Quotedeckeda Wow, scary! Hey space, weren't you asking about a new HVAC a while back? We did a Unico central air handler that is in our attic two summers ago. We have a boiler and it's slightly old but not ready to take that plunge. I did a Goodman furnace and central air around 10+ years ago at my old house. We actually really loved that furnace.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
Quotemacphanatic Really wish that there was a Homekit compatible CO monitor. I'd like to have something in addition to the Smoke/CO detectors. Preferably something that provides level readings not just an alert. I agree. I think First Alert has something new.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
Last Thursday morning around 1:00 AM I woke up on the couch and was feeling “lazy” and just chilling. When the basement Carbon Monoxide / Smoke Detector went off. I have First Alert Z-Wave Smoke & CO Combination Alarm connected to Samsung SmartThings hub so I did check and it said the battery was fine but the CO detector was going off. However, the other two First Alerts and the two Monoxby spacescape - Tips and Deals
My kid wants this "stupid" Pizza blanket that is out of stock. Anyone know who else has the same exact product? I believe this is the same. This one looks the same but gets horrible reviews. Amazon has others with good reviews (all stating thin). If I can get it "cheap" I guess I don't totally care.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
He has the XBox One S (not the series S). I agree, I'm going to discourage this a little bit. However, if he wants to sell his and get a Series S I'm not against that either. But, his 32" LED isn't going to take advantage of 4K.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
Ok, he has an Xbox One S and he's asking about possibly selling it and purchasing an Xbox Series X. Besides the fact that they are all out of stock anyone have any opinion on the Series S or Series X ??? IMO the Series X looks like a better upgrade over what he has. However, if he's going to be running it on an older PLASMA or his new 32" LED (1080p) it probably doesn't matter. Just lookingby spacescape - Tips and Deals
Was bummed... When I was at Costco last week they had MacBooks on display that said M1 but all the one's that were up and running were i5's and i7's.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
I'd like to update my iPhone but my coworker(s) updated their iPhone's and now all their images are sent "imbedded" which doesn't work for us. They were forced to use Outlook for iOS so they could email photos as attachments.by spacescape - Tips and Deals
Crap. I was going to get this TCL for our "main TV" then move the 3+ year old Samsung to the basement. Mainly to replace the Panasonic Plasma down there (Space Heater). How does this compare to the TCL 55 Class 5 4K with Roku?by spacescape - Tips and Deals
We have a few cats and one of the litter boxes is in our spare room. Which, up until the last month was almost a storage room. But now we are trying to make it into a spare room with some of my wife's fisher price collection on display. So, we are discussing "where" to move the litter box or how to kind of "hide it". Any suggestions? I'm seeing "boxes" and "cabiby spacescape - Tips and Deals
