I love the look of these, but the autofocus is not great. I found that you couldn't get the autofocus to be bang on at both close and far distances at the same time. I've tried 5 different lenses When the focus is off, it has a sort of dreamy softness. Which is actually the focus being off slightly. If you look around on the web, a lot of photos with this lens look like this, so I assume

If you can make it out of chicken feathers and cow horns, I doubt they would be making it out of human hair. It would be too expensive. I always thought gelatine was made from bones and hooves?

If it isn't any of the things you have already tried, I don't know what it is. I'd trash your Photoshop preferences. Plenty of times (although mostly on a PC) this has fixed weird things like this for me.

My parents never took me to concerts. First show I went to was Midnight Oil at the Horden Pavillion in Sydney. I was about 12. First show that I went to at a bar i.e. had to pretend that I was of legal drinking age (18) was The Hoodoo Gurus at the Manning Bar at Sydney University. I was 15. Between the ages of 15 and about 30 I went to a lot of shows. Probably 8- 10 a week. Happy day

When I went to Cuba, I had just spent 4 weeks in Mexico and had picked up a reasonable amount of Mexican Spanish. In Cuba I couldn't understand anything and they couldn't understand me either. Cubans and Mexicans speak quite differently.

Heaps of these machines have dodgy Magsafe boards or dodgy Mother boards. I have one at the moment that won't charge. I got a new battery, didn't fix it. Everyone I talk to including Apple says it is quite common. The Magsafe board is $100. The Mother board is $500, so probably not worth doing. I'm torn on what to do.

Last time I set up a Time capsule I remember there was some trick about holding something down and clicking something which was essential but wasn't listed in the manual. Something like OPTION clicking something in Airport Utility. Anyone know what I am talking about?

+1 for IKEA. I did an IKEA kitchen in my unit 10 years ago. Was massively cheaper than every other option I looked at. The quality is fine. They have a 10 year warranty also. Sure you can get better quality, but you will have to pay a lot more also. Depends how much you want to pay. New kitchens are awesome. They make such a difference.

I think this camera is awesome. The promotional images they have released look pretty good too. I applaud Leica for releasing it. It will make some people very happy. However it is completely not for me. I'd love an M9 though. One day maybe.
