The BOV900BSS is totally quiet when not in use. The fan does run a little bit after a cook, but if you leave the door open it doesn’t stay on long.

I wholeheartedly recommend the BOV900BSS. We've had ours for nearly 3 years now and it's awesome. Use the air fryer a lot more than we thought we would.

So my mom is flying into Orlando this Friday for a week long vacation. Starting to think it's not a good idea. I'm guessing she'll be facing a delayed or cancelled flight. Who knows what things will look like if she actually gets there. Disney World is on the docket... not sure what they do in situations like this. Should she cancel the trip?

I own this model (and the newest Anova model) and absolutely love them. I sous vide at least 1-2 times a week, and have found that it's a great way to cook meat and veggies. Last night I did a pork tenderloin, 2 hours in a 140deg bath, finished on the BBQ to get a nice crust. Last weekend I cooked a tri-tip @130 for 7 hours, finished in a cast iron pan. After being disappointed by the performance of two Roombas, I bought a Neato XV21. That thing blows the Roombas out of the water. Instead of bouncing around the house randomly it will map out your house with its laser mapping system and clean every inch of it in a systematic manner. I could not be happier.

Yes, two are being sent. We can see them in her sent email folder. The headers are identical except for message ID, which indicates to me that two messages are indeed being sent. She's on sonic.net which has always been rock solid.

So my mom has just started having a strange problem with her email. Sometimes when she sends an email, two emails get sent instead of just the one. External HDD spinning up for no reason - 11 years ago

I've got a 1.5TB HDD (ministack v3 enclosure) that I've just started using as a Time Machine backup for my iMac. It's hooked up via FW800. This thing spins up and down for absolutely no reason. It's set to go to sleep whenever possible and I've removed it from Spotlight searches and from my sidebar. The drive is only being used for TM, so at most I would expect it to spin up once an hour.
