I read somewhere that private equity pirates were already rooting around in the SS files, courtesy of Musk. I've been self-employed most of my working life so I've paid nearly all the SS premiums myself - no employer to pay half. I'll be beyond pissed if they monkey with it. I’ve seem several teslas with swastikas spray painted on them here in the People’s Republic of Portland. Plus ongoing protests at their dealerships. Probably not helping sales much.

I’m locked in at $40/month with a plan no longer available. I think it’s unlimited everything. Never seen an additional charge for band usage or roaming. I’ve used the phone hotspot quite a bit on several occasions. TM is the only provider I’ve ever used, since they were Voicestream. They should be giving me a plaque or something.

It depends on a few things, for example, how’s your health, does your family history include long livers, plan on working after, etc. I waited until 70 so I’d get the most, especially since Uber destroyed about a third of my retirement income. Glad I did. Being self employed allowed me to claim more income on the last few years by forgoing aggressive tax deductions and building up the payout.
