I have a similar issue with my SSD. Anyone (besides me) talked to Alsoft support? DW says I have bad blocks; TechTool Pro's surface scan does not detect any bad blocks. I'm betting it's a DW5 issue (new version and all). As noted, using DW 4 and this error does not appear. Anyway, working with Alsoft to figure out why odd (and seemingly wrong) error messages appear.

Got Soundstick IIs at Goodwill for $30. The only problem was a 4-pin male connector with two bent pins. Carefully bent them back into position and I have a nifty new speaker system. Not as nice sounding as my Klipsch Promedia speakers, but amusing and better designed.

Additionally, the older aluminum (and clear) Apple-branded displays do not support most HD. It's why I bought a newer monitor: HDCP is not supported in the old monitors. High-def videos will not play from iTunes, Netflix, VLC, Quicktime, etc.

Launchbar is an amazing productivity booster I use daily, and recommend wholehartedly. And Swiftpublisher is perfect for a quick layout of a brochure, poster, newsletter, etc. I think the version of DVD ripper is not the newest (4.1 vs 4.4), but it's a fine program for ripping.

My bad. I use a trackpad. Had to get a mouse out...and you’re right. They hold the mouse so that the cord comes out and down at their wrist. Not about the cord, but about their 3-D interaction with a mouse/trackpad. The girls have their brains' use-a-mouse circuit in some sort of stereo isomer, flipped from how most people use a mouse or trackpad. Yeah, maybe I did not explain it so well at 4:30 a.m.

Yesterday I bought an Apple Cinema Display 30" (silver frame) for $90. No power supply, so as of now I don't know if it works. Screen looks fine with no scratches I can see with monitor off. My dryer was leaving marks very similar to what you describe. I realized it was lint when a wet finger indeed could remove some of it - but not all. Don’t know precisely what the issue was, but with a new dryer it has never happened again.

10.6.8 runs in Vmware 4.1 ONLY. Not in the newest VMWare Fusion, and not in 4.2+. You’ll need to find a Fusion license, and the install software for 4.1 - nothing greater. Cheers Martin
