My first couple of months with an HD TV I was wondering what all the hoopla was about. I was distinctly unimpressed. I had a visit from the cable tech and he kindly informed me that I needed an HDMI cable, which the previous tech had not bothered to tell me. Voila! That's what the hoopla was all about. I mostly watch Netflix on my Roku 2. Thumbs up hasn't really reached us and most movies are still designated by star ratings. But those have gone crazy. The Shining is now a 3 star movie, while Iron Fist enjoys 5 stars. I just took a look on my MacBook. Netflix insists that Iron Fist is a 98% match.
