Looks like a first step will be to take the Food Protection Course certification. Then you need a pre-inspection before "opening for business" . . . If I were you I'd just consider staying under the radar for as long as possible, but the certification may help you if there is an inquiry into the source of your client's baked goods. It's going to be costly to take the step to becomiby h' - Tips and Deals
Someone should set up a paypal account and solicit donations for the mr/f birthday fund, and everyone should receive a pack o' TrishO's cookies on their day. (oh yeah, happy birthday)by h' - Tips and Deals
QuotemikebwI can imagine him popping up in McCain's campaign again in the future... hopefully to it's detriment.by h' - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
Quotespearmint Did Hassert have something to do with Rwanda and the Clinton Administration? I am missing something here? No, come to think of it, I guess it was just meant to taunt you, and I apologize if I fed into it.by h' - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
QuoteWe gave Power the Pulitzer for exposing the, well, monstrous indifference of the Clinton administration as it stared unblinkingly and immobile into the face of massive horror. But we give her a kick in the backside and throw her out the door when she has the temerity to publicly restate all that in one impolite word. Monstrous, indeed. We? Who is we? Obama's campaign gave her the boot (anby h' - 'Friendly' Political Ranting

My G3 iBook is also fussy about starting.. It won't accept the password to wake from sleep when the lid has been closed, but it will when it's gone to sleep with the lid open. On login the keys "stick" often and it's a PITA to get the password in. This has persisted across OS upgrades (at 10.4.11 now). The problem you describe happened to me once or twice early on (on the first motherby h' - Tips and Deals
Quotespace-timeQuoteh'Quotespace-timeIs this a bad joke? Yes, sorry-- it was only intended to be the 3rd "recommend" thread in a row... Sorry, I didn't notice the previous two threads. I opened the forum and your post was the first one on the page. I replied, and then I went to do something else. My bad! no, it wasn't a bad joke, just a misunderstood one. QuoteTheTominatorQuotePeterBEmotional_intelligence ... the snarkiness here (even when answering basic questions) is sometimes overwhelming. Read some of today's responses if you don't believe me. For these undesirables, the 'ignore' link helps quite a bit. Sometimes though my tranquility is ruined when I ignore a user and someone else quotes their objectionable material in a subsequent postby h' - Tips and Deals
QuoteMacArtistmaybe.... Our Macs run so well these days that there just isn't a need to have strictly a Mac forum. or... It's more interesting to relate with others on a more personal level then what computer you prefer to use. or... How many times have people been ridiculed for asking a computer related question. They are told to STFF or google it. At any rate; we post about whby h' - Tips and Deals
Quotespace-timeIs this a bad joke? Yes, sorry-- it was only intended to be the 3rd "recommend" thread in a row, and I asked the mods to remove it when I realized how it would be taken. I think this forum is fine and I think off-topic posts are fine too. And I think all of you are fine too. Except maybe Paul F, Webster J. Duck, Spock, plumking . . . QuoteWebster J. DuckI wear Sauconys that cost about $100. Much less than these black NIKE bricks. I hate to be a trite, cliched hater, but Nikes and New Balance are bricks. Try Sauconys or Asics. My wife wears Mizunos and after 6 plus marathons swears by them. FYI, black or not, wearing sneakers in a dress situation fools no one. You just look silly.by h' - Tips and Deals
QuotePaul F.Definitely something unusual going on... Not necessarily nefarious, but definitely unusual. I would be talking with the teacher, and as someone else cleverly suggested, scanning and marking as copyrighted anything else turned in. If a civil talk with the teacher (either by the student, or parent, or both) doesn't yeild satisfactory answers.... I would go up the chain to the prby h' - Tips and Deals
Quotemicrochip13 I listed an older cell phone on CL last night for $60, and I'll be meeting the buyer later on today. Well, there's one of the bigger downsides of Craigslist-- folks you connect with can be huge flakes. Hope you actually do meet with them. Rule #1 of using craigslist-- take it over to phone ASAP, or you're infinitely more likely to have folks dissapear.by h' - Tips and Deals
Remember that "my control center" is only visible if you click "tips and deals", not from the thread view. I find it odd that the forum will recognize a link that does not have a common image suffix as an image, but that's progress, I guess.by h' - Tips and Deals
I dunno, seems like the opposite could be true too-- if you have less space, it's harder to get to the stuff you'd like to get rid of, because there are more layers to excavate to get to it . . . Wish I had an aircraft hangar to lay out all my stuff in for organizing and culling.by h' - Tips and Deals

QuoteGeneLHi! voics0. I see you're up late, too. I think you are probably right about the old manuals. I think I'll just drop them off at the Dana Point Library for the "Friends to sell or dispose of. I imagine if no one wants what they accumulate, they'll recycle it.
