minimum windows os for mbp m1 + parallels 16.5.2 - 8 months ago

fast wifi or slow(er) ethernet? - 2 years ago
we just got at&t fiber optic service, with which we’re VERY pleased;$70/mo, including their bgw320 modem/router, for gigabit service. we can connect our 4th gen apple tv by ethernet, but it limits us to 100 Mbps download speed. we regularly get 250-400+ Mbps on the atv with wifi. prior comcast wifi (170-ish Mbps down) generally provided dependable service, but we occasionally had some buby goodmanx - Tips and Deals

we just had at&t fiber optic installed today. so far, we’re very pleased with the wifi performance—up to about 660 Mbs down and over 300 Mbs up for about $70/mo, including the router and without a contract (i understand this can cut both ways). way better than comcast’s 180/12 for about $97/mo. however, when i connect via my unitek y-3461 gigabit usb to ethernet adaptor (ax88179 drivby goodmanx - Tips and Deals

when i opened jpk's b&h link above, i got a pop-up (or something like that) from overstock telling me i could save $249.57 plus 2% cash back ($28.56) and get the m1/16gb/1tb for $1,399.43; that's about $50 more than adorama's discounted 8/516. when i clicked on the overstock link, the m1's price was $1,464.99, not the $1427.99 shown, but it still looks like a significant savings. ymmv.by goodmanx - Tips and Deals
