I bought my daughter a new 2010 Versa Hatchback last December. She is away at college (300 miles). She was in for Thanksgiving, Has 12,000 miles on the car. Hasn't had any problems. Says that she just loves the car. I was impressed by the amount of headroom when I bought the car. I am 6'5" and I had plenty of headroom even in the rear seats. Normby Norm - Tips and Deals
I guess I was not clear. I have no Date and Time panel in my System Preferences. It is missing. I cannot access what is not there. Thanks, Normby Norm - Tips and Deals
Seem to have lost my Date and Time from my system preferences on my 1.67/G4 Notebook running 10.5.8. Any ideas where it went or how I get it back? I have the 10.5.1 install disk. Would I have to do a clean install and then update to 10.5.8? Thanks, Normby Norm - Tips and Deals
I just tried the 10.9 updater. It would not install. Also the CPU Director for the PowerLogix Processor is incompatible on 10.4.10 and up. This program allows you to set the Processor speed up to 1.1Ghz. I am not sure about the L2 cache but I think it is mostly about the loss of processor speed. Normby Norm - Tips and Deals
Unfortunately, My backup external is also 10.4.11. Normby Norm - Tips and Deals
I have a B&W with a PowerLogix 1.1Ghz G3 processor upgrade. I purchased the computer used a couple of years ago. It came With 10.4 Tiger installed. (no install disks) I discovered yesterday that the Processor upgrade is only supported to 10.4.9. I was not aware of this when I upgraded to 10.4.11. Is there a way to go back to 10.4.9 without the Install Disks? I have 10.3 and 10.5 disks.by Norm - Tips and Deals

QuoteOmbligo Most illegals do pay taxes out of their paychecks, including social security that they will never be able to collect. While I do agree that people should be legally, it isn't true that they don't pay taxes. The only way that Illegals are paying Payroll Taxes are that they are using another Americans S/Security number. So, are you saying that most illegals are also illegally sby Norm - Tips and Deals

Does anyone know of a Leopard driver or work around for the NEC ND-3520A DVD_RW? When I went from Tiger to Leopard, I seem to have lost my recorder. I can boot from external into Tiger and it works fine. Thanks, Normby Norm - Tips and Deals
QuoteNorm QuoteSilencio Can you hold down the "C" key while booting to force the machine to boot from the DVD? My own 12" PowerBook G4 / 1.33GHz ran Leopard just fine. However, the combo drive in that machine had a tough time reading many dual layer discs. I think I ended up having to boot from an external optical drive connected over Firewire in order to get Leopard installed.by Norm - Tips and Deals

Quotemstudio If your Leopard disk is a full install disk it should work. If it is an upgrade disk, you may need Tiger first. If a full install, try inserting and going to your Sys prefs and change the Startup Disk to the Leopard disk. Hope this helps. Yes it has DVD player. It spins up the disk, just will not boot on it. Yes, it is a full retail disk. I have used it before on another G4 maby Norm - Tips and Deals
I have a 12" Powerbook G4 /133mgz /1.25 G Ram currently running OS10.3.9 I am wanting to install Leopard from a legal purchased install disk. The disk will spin up fine. However, when I select it as the startup disk I get a restart window. After several attempts with the same result, I decided to post and see if someone can tell me what my problem is. I have a 12" Powerbook G4 / 133ghz . When I start it up it reverts the date to Feb. 1970. I correct it and it still changes when I restart. Is this a bad PRAM battery? If so, how hard is that to change? Thanks, Normby Norm - Tips and Deals

I just recently purchased a 5 speaker/wulfer surround sound system for a PC. In the past, I have found the PC speakers to work on the Macs via the single pin sound outlet. However this system has 3 seperate Jacks. (front, rear, wulfer) My question is. Is there a single jack to three jack adapter to allow this to work on a 1.25 Emac? Thanks, Normby Norm - Tips and Deals

QuoteArticle AcceleratorI'm so confused, Norm. Does the left column have an Inbox? Isn't all your incoming e-mail there? Incoming mail works fine. I just wanted to be able to save certain Email and be able to access at a later date. In Yahoo mail you select Move/saved Email and it is put in the Saved Email Folder. Normby Norm - Tips and Deals

QuoteMike SellersIf you mean something like the Classic Apple Menu where you could stash folders and have the submenus fold out as you roll your mouse over them, I use Classic Menu and it works fine.
