Why, of course it would have to be: Highway Star by Deep Purple. Lazy is a good choice also, from the same album. Some alternative candidates would be Layla - Derek and the Dominos Stairway to Heaven, Black Dog, Rock and Roll, When the Levee Breaks, or the Rover by Led Zeppelin Won't Get Fooled Again, or Can You See the Real Me by the Who. Tush or La Grange from ZZ Topby hwystar - Tips and Deals
Those are more than likely corrupted files from some failed or aborted copy operation or something like that. I would just delete them, personally. I have run into similar symptoms when an attempt at copying a video file has failed for one reason or another. HTH hwystarby hwystar - Tips and Deals

This is from a list of songs on CMJ's New Music Monthly sampler CDs that come with the magazines. I have ripped them into iTunes and needed a list to send to a friend. This list runs from about Volume 40 through Volume 126, and is not complete. I highly recommend the magazine to anyone interested in hearing fresh music each month. It costs @ $30/yr and you get 12 magazines with @ 120 reviewsby hwystar - Tips and Deals

As one songwriter to another, I think you would agree that often it is true that each person who listens to a song would interpret it in a slightly (or more than slightly) different light. We each filter input through our individual experiences and our pre-set expectations and biases, and each interpret things in different ways. The picture created in the mind of the listener is often much differby hwystar - Tips and Deals

Buzz beat me to it, just got back from Fry's, matter of fact. Seagate has been really good so far about sending back my rebates in a timely manner. I've always gotten all my WD ones, but they typically took the full 8-10 weeks. The Seagate ones seem to average around 3-5 weeks turnaround time. Not too shabby. This week I just ordered the Seagate 300 GB SATA and 250 GB ATA from Outpost, $90by hwystar - Tips and Deals

The purpose of this forum as has been clearly stated by the owners is general discussion of all topics with the exception of some extremely controversial ones such as politics and religion, which have their own section next door. It is rather unfortunate that the name of the forum is "Tips and Deals" because that is not an appropriate descriptor for what it is all about. Larry haby hwystar - Tips and Deals

If you left coasters are interested, the documentary Mardi Gras: Made in China is showing tonight on the Sundance Channel at 7:30 PM. Unfortunately it has already aired on the east coast, and I don't know when it will be on again. As far as I know, no matter how many times you reset your modem with Scumcast, you are still going to pick up the same IP#, unless something breaks down with their system and they switch you off to another node for repairs. I think I have only had two IP#s over the last 3 or 4 years, and the only reason I got the second one was because I had been on an old leg of legacy cable and they replaced itby hwystar - Tips and Deals

I am in totally in favor of keeping things together in one forum, myself, and would hate to see it split up. Fragmentation is to be avoided, IMO. That being said, I would agree with the opinions expressed by Grateful11, ATT and jdc, and think that condensing the "freebie" posts into 2 or 3 topics per day, per poster, with each item a separate post under each topic, would be a workablby hwystar - Tips and Deals
