There is one fact that did bother me a little. This isn't supposition, it was a live interview with a FEMA team member. I just wish my vcr had been recording so that I could recall it 100%. My opinion is that people have guns based on two things: Up-bringing (why) and Environment (why not). I was taught the only good knife is a sharp knife. My dad has a gun for every room in his house, with ammo for each. Does that make him a gun fanatic? No, it just means that over his lifetime, he had acquired rifles for survivial - hunting what he fed his family. He doesn't shoot for sport.
