Way OT: Covid long-hauler question - Today
My SIL had covid back in the early days of the pandemic and she still isn't done. She has gained back most of the weight she lost and many other symptoms have improved. But she still has a constant pain in the region of her solar plexus. Nothing she has done alleviates the pain. Raining here. BUT-even tho the eclipsing Moon is darker than a full Moon, you still shouldn't have to use really high ISO settings. It should not have been too hard to shoot it. Here is an eclipse I shot in 2017. I used an ISO setting of 200 and had an exposure f.6.5 @ 1/250th with my Canon SX50: I used a tripod and I used the Timer set for 2 second delay so that pushing the shutter buby DP - Tips and Deals

Thx, all! I just love doing this stuff... Here are boardwalk images showing the damage and some is not repaired yet. The first shows a closed part of the boardwalk as it hasn't been repaired yet (in the distance). The others you can see fallen then cut up, and repaired sections of the boardwalk. Then I realized that the skyline looks as if the Marsh was logged!by DP - Tips and Deals

I posted Warbler pix from Up North a couple of weeks ago and since I had seen four different species I was debating driving down to Magee this year as I'd see them there too. But the weather was perfect and I just thought, what the hell, it's usually a good trip. Normally it's just under a two hour drive but there is a lot of construction. I'm Up North at our cottage checking on it as my wife and I have been very busy so no one has been here in a while. Spring is starting to get going and I'm seeing a lot of small, very active birds so I'm thinking the Warblers are moving in finally. What size iMac? I have a late '12 21.5" and replaced the HD with an OWC 480GB Mercury Extreme Pro 6G. Yes, it is relatively tedious but the only issue I had was getting the screen back on exactly right! I think mine is about a 16th of an inch offset! But I just blocked out the time to do it and followed OWC's instructions. It went quicker than planned-maybe an hour from reading thru all iby DP - Tips and Deals

So I've seen these type of computers sold out there but I've never thought much about them as I've never seen any Apple machines sold as this type. Why? Why aren't we all buying gaming computers-shouldn't they be much faster/robust/better? Of course, they all seem to be Windows computers, so that says something right there. A few years ago I had Axis also. It was scratched and it skipped even tho when I played it, I had a sapphire stylus weighted at a 1/4 gram, and a guy still gave me $10 for it! I think he wanted the cover actually as I took great care when I stored my vinyl LPs...by DP - Tips and Deals

I say while it lasts because after two perfect days around 80º-and, they happened to be Saturday and Sunday!-the bottom will drop out with two nights, maybe three, with temps in the mid to upper 20s and highs in the 40s. The tree had the buds just opening yesterday but when I got up this morning... I hope the blossoms don't fall before we have a chance to enjoy them-by DP - Tips and Deals
