They way that they groomed them as if that made a performance difference. POMTL! Oh, yeah that was a thing everybody did. Guys would 'pit' and examine the brushes as that that was the reason they were getting lapped.

I had a slot car set by Eldon. It was a lot of fun. Then I moved up a bit to run at a local slot car track, and that was fun too. Then it was off to a place with two huge tracks and three smaller one. Make it STOP! (Safari 17.0) - Yesterday

Monterey had a macOS update and a Safari update to v17.0. Along with somehow importing bookmarks from Safari (deselected from iCloud) in another computer, there are now favicons beside the bookmark names in the Favorites bookmark menu bar, instead of in the URL window. I don't like this and would like to 'turn them off' if possible. Is there a toggle or box to untick to get rid of them?

Does Google require a subscription for any use of its kit? I don't have any, but do have some Alexa stuff, and I'd never get a subscription. If they maintained a free level of limited features, that would be fine. But saying that a subscription would be needed for any use of hardware already sold seems problematic at best.

Distance from stations and atmospherics (as you've found) also affect the ability to pick up stations. I've never seen an instance of what I think is the Phorum giving people a time out. When scrolling, I've inadvertently clicked Ignore, and not caught it until later. It only happens with I use my MagicTrack pad. I saw the link on the Other Side, used to FtTs. The Rick Roll was pretty funny. But I stopped clicking them when I realized what's what.

If you're standing in the middle of the shower I think the SOP would be to not to stand directly under the light. This of course depends on the size of the stall, and maybe the person in it. And maybe what degree of illumination and visibility is needed. I don't know how small these are. The only shower stall I remember being in was maybe 6x6'. It didn't have it's own light, b

Do you touch the AIrPods to 'reseat them' from time to time? I had a pair and the ear tips had a slight texture to them that others didn't. This quickly made my ears itch. However, wearing anybody's 'buds make my ears itch, eventually. I'd recommend cleaning your ears before using your 'Pods, whenever possible. That can help avoid 'buildup' one the screens.

Update problem - Yesterday

Updating my 12m meant having to make room as there wasn't enough storage. I did and got iOS 17.0, with ~4G available. To get 17.0.1, iOS said it needed more space – ~4G wasn't enough for a ~380mb update, so 'update can't be completed' or whatever. Dump some stuff, still no joy. Off/On, no joy. Forced Restart, update install. iOS 17.0.2, the same glitches appeared with bonuses.

If I could find a waterproof, battery operated LED lamp, I'd install one in the shower, though I've never ever seen a shower with it's own light. They've all been dependent on adjacent lighting in from somewhere in the bathroom. Generally, that should be enough.
