You can email the file (<15GB I think)... Maildrop will upload it to the cloud and send a link. Need to use apple Mail app. Maildrop attachments don’t count against your iCloud storage limit.

In iOS 10, unlocking requires a home button click (or a click-less fingerprint reading with "rest finger to open" enabled in general > accessibility > home button)... swiping only accesses the notification widgets.

If the pics are in iCloud Photo Library, go to iCloud.com. Or right-click on photos Library > show package contents. Look in the @masters". Folder. Gonna be tedious.

Local items keychain is a Mac-only thing it has nothing to do with iCloud keychain. iCloud Keychain is extremely useful. Saving passwords in safari makes them available on all of your devices. Go into the settings app, Safari, passwords and touch the fingerprint sensor ( or administrator password on a Mac in Safari preferences). Need the password for an app? What kind of earplugs (or not earplugs, something else?) will work well to get some sleep on a transatlantic overnight flight? I'd consider some Bose headphones if I didn't need to get them for the whole family. Thanks!

The Photos app and iCloud Photo Library are enough of a reason to be on (at least) Yosemite. I'm certified in Aperture... great app, but I really don't miss it. Photos' capabilities in Sierra are even more interesting.

Window > Connection Doctor... Red lights or green? If green, Window > Activity and click all the stop signs to stop the processes and restart them (clicking get mail). Last option (which is pretty easy as a first option, as well) is Settings > Internet Accounts... Delete the accounts and add them again.
