Professional totally worth it , especially if they have a maintenance plan. Had some mice in the house one winter, called the professionals, problem solved quickly. Later on doing some cleaning, it was apparent they were around much more than what I had heard.

Toilet augers are my favorite $10 spent this year - 6 year old decided to flush a plastic bathroom cup down the toilet backwards, stopping up the bowl. Basically went spear fishing with the auger - pierced the cup and brought it back up. Going forward, we will only be using the paper bathroom cups, ever.

Just picked up a 55" Vizio (V556-G1) that has Airplay, works very well. Wasn't entirely convinced of the need as I also have an Apple TV -- but it's nice to be able to throw a YouTube video on screen very, very easily - and without needing to change inputs. When you shut AirPlay off, the TV goes back to where it was before.

I had the chopper mechanism fail on a KitchenAid dishwasher - the assembly with the blade came apart. A replacement part was less than $15 on eBay, has worked like a charm ever since -- hardest part was just figuring out how to access it and how to put it in correctly.

Rushing the stage is part of the whole thing at a Morrissey show, and there's sort of an accepted routine. Notice everyone runs up, gives him a hug, and then (generally) is peaceably escorted to the sides of the stage where they go without a fuss?
