Quotemattkime QuoteGGD What's the story with Port 4, 100% received packets bad? Hrm, maybe because the device is offline? It would say link down if that was the case. None of the cheap testers is going to tell you any meaningful data other than if there are crossed or shorted wires. You need a $5k Fluke to give you interference and other cable issues. QuotePaul F. QuoteC(-)ris And this is why I don't give any users Admin privileges on their Macs. Even the IT support staff have to use a different admin account to make changes, their normal user is just a standard user. Amen... Wish I could explain this to the new boss! Quotespace-time much simpler method 1) Buy new watch with up to date watchOS 2) Sell old watch to a fellow MRF. This is probably the fastest route. I could use a Series 4. My series 1 is getting long in the tooth.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals

QuoteLemon Drop Quotedavemchine I'm looking for a hotel in downtown Seattle for a little weekend getaway for the family. Normally I stay at Hotel Andra but they are closed for renovations. I don't need a pool or hot tub but a restaurant would be nice. I don't need a water view...but it would be nice. Any recommendations? Why would you do this while we're still in the pandemic? Stay home. Pleaseby C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
Let it go. At some point people need to be responsible for their own decisions. If you have given her all this information and she understands it and understands the risks, there isn't anything else you can do.by C(-)ris - 'Friendly' Political Ranting

Quotesekker Apologies, adding more than current (formally dual monitor, as noted here, when counting the internal display on the M1 laptops) support is a clear missing piece of the true Pro laptops. Absolutely. 3 monitors should be the bare minimum.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals

QuoteDinerDave I couldn't let it go and "not see" that. I sent off a comment to the newspaper asking if they hire journalists, or amateur bloggers. Dave You should ask them about their copy editors, not the journalists.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
Quotemrbigstuff I'm not watching, but the logos are always below the ice in arenas. Are they not doing that? Correct, but on an outdoor rink logos under the ice heat up from the sun and melt the ice. A leaf that falls on my rink will melt down through 2" of ice if left in the sun. That is why the liners are white, if you used a black liner for an outdoor rink it would never freeze. Anyone watching the games? These guys don't know how to run an outdoor rink. The painted logos and lines are melting the ice and players are slipping and tripping over the surface. I am fairly certain my ice is better than theirs is.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
I spend WAY more heating my house than cooling it. It is less expensive to cool a house down than to heat it up. I'd imagine in Texas with low energy rates the cost benefit analysis doesn't look good for insulation.by C(-)ris - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
Their choice to go with a variable rate plan. They thought they could roll the dice and hope they didn't get caught in the squeeze. Their luck ran out and it happened. Nobody forced them to sign up for an adjustable rate plan. Nobody forced them to use electricity. Suck it up and deal with it. You either pay for it over time in higher averaged rates, or you have to weather the ups and downsby C(-)ris - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
Quotejdc QuoteC(-)ris I've been waiting to buy a dozen iMacs at work. Don't want to do Mini's because of the cable mess. iMacs are so much cleaner and less to go wrong. Hope they hurry up and release them soon. I dig my iMac for this feature... but really... a mini only adds.... 2 cords? It adds a second power cable for the monitor as well as a cable from the monitor to the Mini. That isby C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
QuoteRobert M I haven't tried any of them yet though I gave them a cursory inspection. Wish they were individually wrapped. This is the most important part for me for the disposable masks. I keep them all over so I always have a clean fresh one. Have a pile at each door to the house,in the truck, in the car, in my backpack, at work, etc. Anywhere I spend any significant amount of time. Quotemrbigstuff QuoteDeusxMac Keep in mind that some materials can’t be sourced in the U.S.; they have to be imported. Certain metals, rare earths, gemstones, plant fibers and oils etc. have NO domestic sources! Again, not understanding the original post. When it's listed as "made" what does that signify? Not "assembled." It certainly does mean assembled. Final assemby C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
