Quoteanonymouse1 Most of all almost everything I have to interact with feels like it was taken from “Tom Swift and His Dynamo-Electromobile”. Something as easy as switching from the built-in music to my phone took about three minutes to figure out. The external door handle is needlessly complicated. QuoteCarnos Jax Quotevision63 QuoteCarnos Jax Quoteztirffritz I can generally charge my Tesla on road-trips in the amount of time it takes me to pee and get a coffee/snack. I don't find that charge time to be much of an issue. ^^^this…..people are so ignorant when it comes to EVs and charging. I don't always want to pee and take a snack break every time I need fuel. Doesn't look legit to me. How big is your lot? I bought a Echo battery string trimmer and will never go back to a gas one again. Uses the same battery as my mower, goes through about half the charge doing a standard sized lot. If you already have a bunch of cordless tools and batteries just get one that uses the same battery.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
QuoteOmbligo I've seen that happen too many times. A good local place thinks they are better than they are. They expand and go out of business six months later. It is a matter of scale. A tiny shop with a few tables has low overhead from both a staffing and building/rent cost. However there is a maximum amount of money you can make in a day. If you move to a bigger building, your rent gby C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
At this point, I'd do an erase and reinstall of the OS. If that doesn't fix it, definitely a hardware problem. Unless it is under Applecare it will not be worth fixing.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals

QuoteGareth Quotehal I still can't fig out why my Hyundia Tuscon has a 2000lb tow capacity, but in EU and AU, it's 2000kg . QuoteUpdate: the reason towing capacities are so much higher in Europe is because they have a much more restricted speed limit for any vehicle towing a trailer. For instance, in Germany the maximum for vehicles towing is 80 kmh (50 mph) on highways and a maximum of 100by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals

Make sure that whatever you order is DOT approved. A lot of the cheap ones are not, and while it might not make a difference in day to day driving, if there is an accident with a fatality or major injury they do check to make sure all safety equipment is certified. If you were rear ended and seriously injured it could be a liability problem if you used an aftermarket tail light that wasn't DOTby C(-)ris - Tips and Deals

QuoteRandalls What part of Ohio? Columbus? When we visit my daughter we take 294 just south of Wisconsin to Kankakee via 57 then to 52 which leads to Lafayette and down 52 eventually hitting 65. Except for the 294 toll road ($10 ez pass) and it’s Nascar like qualities this route is 90 percent small towns, very little traffic and much more scenic than 65. Plus it only adds about 15 minutes. I know a few people here are local to Chicago and hoping I can get some solid feedback. I have to drive from Wisconsin to Ohio going through Chicago on Friday May 2nd. Wondering what the best daylight time frame would be to head through. I need to be in Ohio by around 4pm. I can leave as early as necessary, but would prefer to be going through Chicago somewhere in the 7am-2pm time frame. Iby C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
Are there any reasonably priced monitors that creatives are using instead of the Apple Studio Display? We tried the Dell the U2723QU and it was not up to par. I think specifically looking for a glossy screen and excellent color.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
For sound proofing you want to use something like Dynamat on the inside. For rust proofing you want something oil based like Fluidfilm on the underside. You don't want a rubberized undercoating, they breed rust.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals

You get what you pay for with monitors for the most part. I'm fond of the LG monitors. We have around a hundred of them at work and they have been far more reliable and have better picture quality than the HPs that are on the PCs. I would at least consider getting a USB-C monitor, that would allow you to connect a single able to the Mini and and your keyboard and mouse could plug into the monby C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
Volcom has a store in Disney Springs. I think their biggest problem was over expansion during/after the pandemic. "The company saw a bump in business during the pandemic, when people were spending more time outside. That led to an expansion, with retail stores jumping from 67 to 140. I wouldn't touch cast iron plumbing unless you are fully prepared to have to rip it all out and replace with PVC. It is unpredictable where it will crack when moving it around even on the best days with experienced plumbers.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
Why didn't you just solder a new fuse in? It isn't a user serviceable part, so no need to have a fuse holder. Anyone who can take the thing apart and diagnose the fuse should be able to solder a new one in. Typically fuse holders are only used if the fuse is accessible without disassembly.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
The real problem was that it needs to be fitted to an individual person and that it can't deal with glasses. Those are two huge obstacles to overcome before there is mass adoption of that product. I'd buy one of the cheaper version, but only if I can share it with everyone in the household.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
Looking at house that was last sold in December of 2021. Trying to figure out what the general increase in value from then to now would be so that I can put a fair offer in. I passed on a Chevy Bolt that sort of smelled like a mouse died in it. The car was pristine, but the smell.....pass. My work truck, on the other hand, has a smell that can be best described as "earthy".
