Thanks for the responses. I'm relatively sure that the solution is a replacement that draws in air from the front and exhausts out the back as per tradition. I'm relieved to hear that other makes haven't all gone this bizarro route. The GE designer of this one must have been on a bender, or dyslexic, or maybe was attempting to get "creative".by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
my draft theory: to clarify, it's situated in a kind of half-alcove in the kitchen, which may be amplifying the effect of that air draw/ negative air pressure, creating such a noticeable draft in adjacent rooms (w lots of older windows).by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Yeah, this one sounds like it inherited a lot of that GE turbine DNA. Can someone check their reasonably current mdl for its air intake and exhaust location? (I used an empty thin grocery produce bag as the directional indicator) As I noted above, mine seems to cause a draft problem in the house perhaps because it draws IN air from the back and exhausts it out the front, the opposite ofby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
I searched for fridge posts here before buying, and saw that (your?) Whirlpool reco. Then unfortunately I looked at the Wirecutter that pointed to this GE... Previous fridge here was a GE from the late '80's until last week! I think maybe? one reason why this new one's draft is so much worse is that it blows air out from the lower front, whereas the old one blew out the back and pulled air inby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Just got a new GE fridge, basic mdl. I don’t like it. It’s running noise is often and fairly loud, and when the fan finally cycles off it makes this ridiculous gurgling/sucking sound on & off for the next minute that’s highly annoying. Even worse, it creates a lot of draft throughout the next couple of rooms which is not pleasant this winter. Is there anything better out there wby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
I was thinking of posting a Did You Sell In Time? poll, but realized that would be kinda depressing... Sooner or later the pendulum will swing the other way, as always.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
They could have made themselves heroes by donating Unforced... They had already had made maybe a 6-figure profit before amazon pulled the plug, I doubt they managed to put Too much of that back into the subsequent purchases. --Good thing for them it was hand sanitizer; if they had cornered the TP market instead, they probably would have been mummified, or worse.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Inappropriate U-turns must be the hallmark of Amazon drivers. I often see their trucks attempting the maneuver in the worst possible/most dangerous spot you could pick. They need better training.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Overwhelmed by choice and underwhelmed by the reviews... maybe I should spend more or expect way less.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
I saw the Pod, that's a possibility... Some rooms ($133-149 that I see) have shared baths, the more expensive ones have private bath. Keep the suggestions coming!by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
eBay is the way. Davester is right in that you should have a good idea of the value before listing it. I'd put a healthy BIN price on it w/Best Offer option, plus enough shipping for you to pack it or (better) pay someone else to do. Ship via ShipBikes or their competitor. I sold a similar vintage Italian, a really nice Campy-equipped Francesco Moser on eBay a number of yrs back for near $2k.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
I'll be there next week, a downtown location could be good, but not strictly necessary. Booking for 1. Give or take $100/night? Less is better, unless it means worse night's sleep, sub-par shower, etc. A little more OK if made for a significantly better experience. (I've never stayed at a hostel, would consider if had private room?)by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Once I found the ipad's Mail's new reply button (it's now at bottom right beneath the message), all seems fine.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Hal, in the CBD thread of the other week, I gave my testimonial about the anti-inflammatory effectiveness of Charlotte's Web CBD oil. I have to reiterate, it's really Really good. I strongly urge you to try it. It works amazingly well for me and surprisingly fast, and has no known side effects. I'm a skeptic re oils, potions, etc etc, and I've tried all sorts, but this is the only one I'm actuaby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
I read that they had already been charging for car listings by dealer, this new charge was for private sellers.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Hope this is not a trend. Maybe it was primarily just to shake out the scammers etc in that category. But I dutifully paid up my $5; the only upside I see from here is that now when I go back to edit the listing (other other non-car listing) the next day, it doesn't require signing in anymore.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
It's pretty decent on the iPhone.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Some of the exterior rubber seal on a fixed/non-opening side window of a 25yr old car is letting a bit of water come through. Before I find out what an auto glass shop charges do re-do the whole seal, I'm thinking a little black silicone or other product -squished in under the rubber seal where it is not 100% in contact w/the glass- should make a decent quickie fix, at least. A very useful feature. Air out/cool off a hot car before you get in, or close up everything with one action from outside the non-running car -great for those like me prone to leaving everything open, assuming "no Way it's going to rain before I come back..."by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
When did a car manufacturer first offer the great "comfort control" feature that can roll down / up all windows/sunroof by holding the turned key in the door lock? I've not found the answer after Googling for an hour+. I'm betting the Germans had it first, I know Mercedes and VW have offered it for years, before the advent of the remote key fobs. The best clue I found re VW was a poby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
QuoteDeusxMac Doesn't anyone have input on the original OP question? CDB oil? I do; I've found it extremely effective for inflammation - below is what I posted re using CBD topically from the recent CBD oil thread here last week: Another vote here for Charlotte's Web. I use their extra strength drops topically; applied directly to the skin it's amazingly effective for muscle soreness and sofby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Another possibility is just getting a scooter. Lots less cost, less noise, less gas, less laws, less insurance apply. Not as high top speed, so no highway use (but that could be a plus), but just as much fun.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
I have now arrived in the 21st C; iPhone activated w/Twigby. I chose this prepaid service (after much reading, sending messages to users on Reddit, etc) for their combo of low price, talk/text roaming, ease of changing plans on the fly, and good customer service. They use Sprint with voice/text roaming (no extra charge) on Verizon where Sprint has no coverage, so should be as good across the cby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
cbelt- yeah, I live dangerously... Actually the only scary part of the this was when the delivery guy was bringing it off the carrier; the car was nose up at a 50º+ angle for some hair-raising minutes here. mrbigst- I actually had my ins add it already before it even arrived -got the temp ins card for it, even if it may not be officially official. You're right that it probably doesn't matby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Bought a car online/phone. Seller has left it to me to fill in the sale info on the title, which he signed. Is it customary to list the date of sale as: When I paid in full; or When the car was delivered to me; or When title was delivered to me?by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Another vote here for Charlotte's Web. I use their extra strength drops topically; applied directly to the skin it's amazingly effective for muscle soreness and soft tissue hurting' -and it works really fast. I've never tried any other brand. I had initially used it as directed sublingually under the tongue, which was pleasant enough, but after a few weeks I wasn't sure that method was reallyby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
I just checked its IMEI w/ Tello (a Sprint MVNO) cust svc and that came up good. So far so good. Hey Cam, that's excellent re the APPL trade-in, something I may take advantage of, sooner or later. Tello looks like a good deal, anyone here used them or heard any good/bad? Fwiw, I called their cust svc who answered in ~1min, And the hold music was decent. Tello plan I like: $19/mo for 4Gby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Yeah, definitely cheap enough. No xfinity/comcast here, clay. Pay as you go could be appealing though, as early on it may only get fairly limited use. Keep those plan ideas coming.by Psurfer - Tips and Deals
Ok, got it. $110 w/ orig chrgr & cable. A1660, looks good. He had already reset it, was at the setup screen (there's an unactivated Sprint sim in it) so couldn't really check out much, but I trust him (yeah, I know...). 1. Should I Not go through the setup just now? I doubt I'll want Sprint, will likely want to get a nice cheap plan, from an mnvo (I even had to google to spell that acronymby Psurfer - Tips and Deals
