Here's a little more info. My wife and I both have 16gb phones which aren't a problem when we are at home or work where we use Spotify or songza over wifi. Really the cars are when we are short on music. Neither of our cars have usb slots for thumb drives. I like the idea of the music going through our phone so that we can take advantage of Bluetooth and not have to switch inputs to take a call.

I am looking at a way to get our whole audio collection available in our cars and have it play through our cell phones. I was thinking about loading the library on to one of those wireless drives and have it always plugged in to be powered by the car whenever the car is on. Has anyone done something like this? is it a pain to reconnect to the drive? is there anything else i am missing?

My 2009 mac mini wouldn't turn on. Apple says it's the logic board and will cost $400 to replace. That seems not worth it as that's about 2/3 the cost of a new one. I was just using this as a HTPC/media server. It was fast enough for that, so I don't think I need to get a newer one. What is the cheapest way to get this machine going again? Are you not using the original footage because your computer can't handle playing it back or because you want to see the timecode? you can see the timecode of the original clip in the window. Or if you want to use the timecode burned footage, then when you are done you can replace the timecode burned clip in the project panel with the original.

So trying to switch from an iPhone 5 to a nexus 5. But whenever someone from an iPhone (like my wife) sends me a text message it tries to send it as a imessage (blue) and it fails. I have turned of imessage in my old iPhone and signed out of it on my Mac. Why do iPhones still think I'm still on an iPhone?

yeah i tried to buy the owc one, but it isn't compatible with my old mbp. system profiler says "This computer doesn't contain any ATA devices. If you installed ATA devices, make sure they're connected and powered on." it's weird because i ordered two and neither of them seem to work, so i wanted to see if there was anything else i needed to do.

i have a MacBookPro3,1. I bought this hd caddy for the optical bay: i have installed it and the hardrive doesn't show up in the finder or disk utility. I have put back the optical drive and it still works and checked the hard drive in another case and it works. Is there something I am missing to get this working?

So i opened up image capture and with "delete after import" checked and "import to iphoto" selected, i hit import all. after about 5 minutes, all of the photos from image capture disapeared and now iphoto has been suck on "preparing to import" for a while. The queenofboggle wants us to have an alarm system. I really like the Lowe's Iris system (we want to pay for a monitoring service). I really like this quad lock case that I got. The case comes with mounts that it connects to. I don't think they have have a window mount but I used the sticky-back all purpose mount to mount it next to the radio in my car and really thinks its great and unobtrusive.

I don't think they are broken off to be controlled by a switch (although that might be the case), as I understand it, the tabs are broken off to split the top and bottom outlet to different circuits.

It's for our Xserve. We got it in 2006. We have been having some problems with the cooling in the server room. I shut it down for a while to see about reseating the video card. There certainly was a lot of dust in there. The reseat didn't help at all. DRR, is the overheating-induced artifacting that you are talking about a temporary or permanent issue?
