I use an InCase slider to protect the back and provide additional stiffness. Then I add Power Support Crystal Film to protect the back from the case rubbing and to protect the glass from scratches.by sscutchen - Tips and Deals

I've been delivering kiddos to college and not keeping up... Thanks to everyone for the kind words. Another year older and a major milestone... My wife and I are now official empty nesters, with our youngest of two joining her brother at the University of Texas. I can't decide if it is a birthday present or not. No false starts in olympic swimming. Everybody just goes anyway and the false starter is DQd after the race. That's what happened to the Chinese swimmer. She won, then was DQd.by sscutchen - Tips and Deals
QuotePaul F.I'm just guessing here... not being able to see the edges myself.. One of two things happened. Either they sharpened the knives with a very shallow angle, which would then lend the edges to blunting and rolling over quickly. OR; they used a grinder to sharpen them, which could have annealed the edge by overheating it. Depending on the knife, they may have screwed it up by ignoby sscutchen - Tips and Deals

Quotes from my previous post. Here are the best workarounds I've come up with. These will have to do until Apple improves functionality. QuotesscutchenAt work I have an IT-locked down PC XP running Outlook on an Exchange server network. This is a large global chemical company. There is no WiFi and no iTunes. QuoteArticle AcceleratorQuotebobinmurphy The iTouch or iPhone may be the cat's meow, and all those who by them are helping prop up my Apple stock, but I'll hang onto my Palms - Pilot, Z21, Z22, Z31 and the current Centro. They just get the job done. That settles it then--I'm selling my AAPL stock and buying Palm stock. Heh. I actually own a lot of AAPL (at least I think it's a lot...)by sscutchen - Tips and Deals
BTW, even though I'm bummed because the iPod is not able to replace my Palm, I do still have a good recommendation for a case. I wanted something that would protect the iPod in my pocket but not get in the way of using it. I'm using an InCase Slider to protect the iPod from getting bent or dented, and I'm using PowerSupport Crystal Film to protect the glass from scratches. I put the filmby sscutchen - Tips and Deals
QuotetahoedrewI would assert some of your issues could be solved if you better described your situation (i.e., machines, uses, locations, software, etc.) I use my iPhone synced to my Mac at home for songs but using my Exchange account at work for calendar and contact info. My daughter got a new Macbook for college so I have a chance t try to make the "free" iPod Touch work as a replacement for my Zire 72. I really wanted this to work and I was ready to change the way I do things... but it just ain't happening. The iTouch is way not ready to be a PDA. All I really need is 2 way sync for complete data from calendar, contacts and notes from Outlook at wby sscutchen - Tips and Deals
If your area dropped the ethanol content, that will get you better mileage. Ethanol has a lower volumetric energy content than gasoline.by sscutchen - Tips and Deals
On the rebate... I'm planning on an iPod Touch to replace my aging Palm Zire 72, assuming SplashID for iPhone 2.0 ships as expected. On wireless, she will be in a dorm that is wired. I could do an Airport Express. Don't you have to use a wired keyboard to work with the lid closed? A USB hub and she could do 1. USB, 2. Power, 3. Audio and 4. Video. I think a lot depends on how often sby sscutchen - Tips and Deals
Or should I blow off the dock and simply unplug and replug? She'd have 1 USB for keyboard / mouse, 1 video, 1 USB for Time Machine, 1 USB for printer 1 USB for iPod 1 plug for speakers and 1 for eNet. Seems like a dock you be helpful.by sscutchen - Tips and Deals
Anybody use one? I'm considering this for my daughter for college. She has a 20" G5 iMac, but I think she'll need a laptop at school. She used my MacBook for about 2 weeks when she was confined to downstairs due to an ankle injury. She got by just fine, but she says she would rather not have to use the MacBook form factor at her desk. I've got a spare Apple keyboard. She could usby sscutchen - Tips and Deals
QuotebhaveshpMore concerns that the cancer has returned... Yes. San Fransisco paper today as well as a "no comment" from Apple. The market is REAL jumpy. I sold 4/5 of mine today at 177 and I'm probably going to wait until closer to July 11 to jump back in. I'm still very bullish because of the iPhone 2.0 software (even more than the 3G hardware). But I'm going to wait untiby sscutchen - Tips and Deals
Good comments, all. I've got a Queezy, but not sure which model, and I'm too lazy to go look. The best accessory I've bought for it was a flat lid for when I don't need a feed tube. It still has a small hole and plug for drizzling in stuff or adding small stuff. Not for use with the grating/slicing blades. But it really makes clean up easier than the feed tube lid.by sscutchen - Tips and Deals
QuoteBuzzWwhen it comes to the office environment, the things you should not skimp on are chairs, monitors, keyboards, mice, wrist rests/pads, headsets, and eyeglasses (as needed). everything else is negotiable... I'll second Brian Regan. I'm amazed I had to get this far down to find him. Clean humor. And amazingly funny. Brian Regan is my favorite. Ron White is favorite, too. Ron White is also favorite. Quotedk62And Tufte is great, I have his books, but his focus is on graphical presentation of information, not written corporate communications. Quotegraylocksdespite my techno lust for an iphone and people here extolling its many virtues, there are many key things i do with my palm that the iphone or iTouch doesn't do - yet. depending upon how you use your Zire, the iPDA capabilities of either may be disappointing. I'm seriously looking at an iPod Touch to replace my old Palm Zire 72. (As soon as SplashID is available.) I feel your pain, my brother. Take one Tufte seminar and call in the morning... I went to his seminar in Houston and it was incredibly useful. Take paper and write good notes.
