I've got two BioBidet BB-1700. My house had one when we bought it. Liked it so much I bought another for other bathroom. My mom loved it so much she got one for her home. Heated seat, heated water, fan dry. If you get mud on your shoe, what's better to clean it up: a hose or a paper towel?by Bixby - Tips and Deals
Quotejonny QuoteBixby I use it when I don't have time to check levels. It does eat up more storage space, obviously. What are you using it on? And how is the performance at very low levels? Sounddevices MixPre-10 II. Mostly classical music and similar. Honestly I still follow good engineering practices and know my recorder and mics well enough that this just covers my butt for the occasionalby Bixby - Tips and Deals

My opinion, you've done way too much. You needed to take off the protective coating, not ALL the coating. Start seasoning already. (I use a bunch of cast iron as well as two carbon steel pans. No teflon in my house.)by Bixby - Tips and Deals
We've had our Wustoff kitchen knives for more than 15 years. The last couple of years some of the handles have shown little cracks. We've not exactly babied them, but mostly hand washed etc. Then one crack got bad enough that a section of the handle came off. I contacted them, sent photos, and they had me send in all the knives that had any issue, then gave me more than enough credit to purchaseby Bixby - Tips and Deals
Some (all?) manufacturers have known for a long time how to make cars last longer. It's just that it gets very expensive. Even with more reliable tech/design, there will need to be an incentive to implement it vs. use something cheaper but keep prices and profits higher.by Bixby - Tips and Deals
Telescopic antennas are typically only used for FM. If it's helping reception at all it's likely due to induction. Most portables use a small ferrite rod for AM, which are usually only decent for local reception during the day.by Bixby - Tips and Deals
If you have a car, how is AM reception on that? Almost all handheld tuners are poor quality, and I can't imagine a $10 radio has quality design and components. Use Radio Locator to see what stations should be in your area. But I will agree there's not much good to be found on the AM dial. I work in radio, on the FM side. Sangean, Tivoli and CCrane are about the only companies I'd recommeby Bixby - Tips and Deals

The 7506s have a smiley-EQ sound to them - bumped up lows and highs, which makes them good for hearing stuff you need to fix in the studio but not the best for long-term listening as a consumer (especially with today's music). They're also closed, which will keep noise from annoying neighbors and keep out outside sounds, but also make long-term listening a bit less comfortable in that it will heaby Bixby - Tips and Deals
Probably wouldn't hurt. But you're saying processing issues - PT is throwing errors while mixing in real time, or something else? You have enough RAM and a fast hard drive?by Bixby - Tips and Deals
What is ProTools lite? You mean ProTools Intro? Or a different version? ALWAYS check the PT compatibility chart before doing any upgrades...by Bixby - Tips and Deals
My wife likes our master bath very toasty when she's showering etc. Our bathroom has radiant floor heat, but we tend not to use that - it's a little too gentle. We also have a vent with heater (that I'm in the middle of replacing/updating from an old Broan which heater blew up to a new Panasonic) that she prefers to use, as it's a more direct/immediate heat that she likes. So all depends onby Bixby - Tips and Deals
It's quite possible, depending on your receiver and how you've set it, that if you use the LFE it will only be used with movies or source material that has a LFE channel. In other words, the sub may not get any signal for music. This could be good or bad depending on a number of circumstances.by Bixby - Tips and Deals
Press the gas to go, brakes to stop? Not sure what you think there is to learn about it, other than getting used to the speedometer being over in the center. And if you've not driven a hybrid before, getting used to it being silent when you first 'start' it. It's pretty much a regular car these days.by Bixby - Tips and Deals
In addition to lobster, eat some blueberry pie. We also did this with our kids - Dive-In Theater. It was pricey but worth it for us. Also some Pirate's Cove mini-putt at night.by Bixby - Tips and Deals
Cold water start can have the affect of making the insides stick to the shell more, making it harder to peel cleanly. Other than that, personal preference I'd say.by Bixby - Tips and Deals

QuoteRolando The new Mada MX30 with a 100mile range, comes with a free loaner from your Mazda Dealer, up to 10 days a year for three years. I think I read they're selling very poorly. Which is too bad, because the concept is good (make something that fits most people's needs most of the time). BUT - the execution is pretty poor IMO - it's WAY too expensive, and the suicide doors and space utby Bixby - Tips and Deals
I just wish we could get over the need-more-mileage mindset. Most of us, for most of our use, don't need even 100 miles per charge. But no, we need all the miles! Just like why so many people buy huge pickups but rarely use them to haul or tow. I'd love to see more energy-dense batteries - mostly so it will get EVs lighter and help steal back some of the storage space that batteries take up.by Bixby - Tips and Deals

Quotemrbigstuff QuoteBixby Typically black coating on carbon steal is good - it's the seasoning. If you want to take that off, I'd suggest Brillow/SOS pads and a good scrub. sort of. sometimes a piece of that breaks off into what I am cooking. not good. and, it does seem to now require more oil to have food not stick. Seasoning should definitely not break off, so something's going on thereby Bixby - Tips and Deals
