Alternatively ... Spend the ~ $1700 today for a heat pump model. It will pay for itself by the time you move out in a few years (compared to any regular electric model) and optionally, you can just take it with you when you move and slap in a cheap elec to sell the house. I think financially you'll come out ahead ... more so if you remove an existing elec heater from the new place and truck

Take a look at your joists above. If you disconnect the pipe straps or brackets, will there be any wiggle room to move the pipes enough out of the way? If not, simply unthreading the connections won't be good enough. And, I may be the only person here to recommend Sharkbite connections if needed for a new cut pipe. People think they leak, but they don't.

Gonna have to hard disagree about the venerable 7506. They are the Yamaha NS-10M of headphones. The NS-10M was a classic studio speaker renown for it's consistency, which only indirectly translates into "accuracy." So many people know what the 7506 cans sound like (they are ancient) that they can then make adjustments based on that, which helps the music sound good on other things

I just turned on the upstairs AC this year. Hotter inside than outside, for reasons I intend to mitigate in the coming weeks. Hoping my new attic lights don’t melt before I can install the radiant barrier up there. OK I just walked upstairs and it’s now too cold. So much for my plan to have the smaller upstairs unit flow cold air down to cool the main level.
