You can improve the odds for avoiding problems by monitoring INR yourself. You can buy a kit with supplies to do this on the internet. Data suggests that people that do this have better outcomes than those that try to maintain stable INR with monthly blood tests. It is also less of a hassle than constant visits to the vampire.by pipiens - Tips and Deals
I have a FW 800 CF card reader. It downloads about 2GB/minuet. The USB readers I am familiar with take about twice as long. I reformat each card in the camera it will be used in. I don't like the built in battery feature and will probably have to fall back to an inverter that will run off a vehicle battery when needed I have a strong preference for CF cards. I can replace them in the daby pipiens - Tips and Deals
I do use fast CF cards. I checked with the local Genius who claims that the two USB ports are indeed on different buses but only one is powered. I will try to find out how the SD reader connects. I just picked up a base model MacBook Pro. I ordered 8GB of RAM from our sponsor. I guess I will have to try a few of the configurations. An added problem is that occasionally I have to work wby pipiens - Tips and Deals
Thanks Winston I do have a power supply for the FW drives, so I can stack them. I have our sponsor's quad interface portables. I am trying to minimize the time for my total ingestion process. The sequence I use is 1) Down load a Cf card to the back up drive. 2) Transfer the data from the back up drive to the primary drive. 3) Render full size previews 4} Inspect previews to be sure the transfeby pipiens - Tips and Deals
Thanks for the 13" MacBook Pro suggestion. The last time I looked there was no 13" pro version. How easy is it to upgrade the drive? I did it on my old one and it was a major PITA . It took a zillion screws all tiny different sizes. My wife's MacBook was a breeze. Any thoughts on our sponsor's solid state drive? I was flying Continental. In a display of human frailty I left my 15" MacBook Pro on an airplane last night. I have limited time to decide on a replacement as I am leaving on a photography trip ( Midway Island) in about a week. I have not been keeping up with the status of new notebooks as I didn't plan on replacing it for another year or so. So I can use all the advice I can get. The device I would like does notby pipiens - Tips and Deals

I would rather vote for the snake, but since this is a contest of who has the most on-line support I have enlisted all six computers in the house and the two iPhones in the project. It would be mortifying if we let some other site beat us out.by pipiens - Tips and Deals

Quoterich in distress Panasonics are my choice nowadays. Intercomm, send answered calls to specific handsets, good sound quality and not too expensive. It also blocks specific calls... I just made use of it, ha! Model # ?by pipiens - Tips and Deals

There is a lot more to this than just insuring the currently uninsured. Who knows what the final bill will look like, but there are 5 versions currently in play. Here is one common theme among all of them.by pipiens - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
Is there any reason not to support this no matter which side of the health care issue you happen to favor? Congressman John Fleming would like to force members to participate in any health care plan that they pass.by pipiens - 'Friendly' Political Ranting

I have 2 Epson 3800s and an HP Z3100. They all work just fine. They are located in two different states but leaving them with the power on has eliminated any head clogging problems. Printing is an art all by itself. I recommend taking a class or two.by pipiens - Tips and Deals
