I'm thinking of doing the same. However, I have 3 Buffalo routers all bridged together and wonder if I can connect the Linksys/Vonage adapter/gizmo thing to one of the bridged routers instead of the main router where my cable modem is attached. That way, I can have the cordless phone and answering machine on the main level of the house and not in my basement office.

The first time my wife updated her iMac from 10.4 to 10.4.something, she did it through the Software Updater. It really messed up the system and I spent a couple nights on the phone with Apple Tech Support getting help in getting everything backed up and running again. Thanks for the advice on downloading the Combo Updater and running it separately. We'll do that this time.

The new Buffalo wireless 125 is on sale at Fry's this week for $45 after rebate (at least at the Atlanta Fry's). I have 4 of the older models that all work great. One of the best things about them is the 24/7 free tech support.

I'm not familiar with the motherboard, but the price seems a bit steep. The graphics card is very basic, the hard drive is small in today's environment of larger size files, networking, sound, modem cards can all be found very cheap, DVD burners have dropped considerably in price, etc. He could probably do better looking at the sale ads for Fry's/Oupost.com/Newegg.com and doing it himself. If I remember correctly, you bought the 40gig Photo when they were closed out on Buy.com, right? I bought one for my wife at the same time. I did buy Applecare for it. The credit card warranty extension will cover an additional year after Applecare runs out. I bought Applecare on eBay and saved about $30 over the retail price.

Disney Animation was going to make TS3 since they effectively own the rights to the Toy Story franchise. Pixar wanted the rights to all of their films that Disney owns. I believe this was part of the problem about why Jobs did not renew the contract with Disney and was looking for other suitors. TS3 was Disney's attempt to rub Pixar's nose in it to show them that they could do what they wanted

No to be nitpicky, but iPod Video or Photo? The video is only 30 and 60Gig and didn't come out long enough time ago for your warranty to be over.

We recently got new gutters with the LeafProof system. It can handle up to 12" of rain/hour (very very heavy, sustained downpour that we'll never see in Atlanta). So far, it has worked very well. I've always had good interactions with NewEgg. They replaced a motherboard for me that had one month left on the warranty and sent me a postage paid box to RMA it. Then they sent me newer model that had USB 2.0 instead of 1.1. I'd definately call them.

Just be warry of unsupervised children licking and drinking syrup directly from the dispensers. I haven't been to IHOP in 2 years since that incident (the table next to ours, not my kids). And yes, rgG, it was the IHOP on Alpharetta Hwy near Mansell.
