A person could drive himself crazy "shopping" for the best yield. I compared incognegro's pennbank rates for CDs with those offered by ING. The closest look like this:
12-month CD @ 4.35% APY
24-month CD @ 4.60% APY
No minimum.
Mikebw, I have a question (that you might not be able to answer.) I called ING several months ago, and they have my name and SS#, but I never establ

Arm cut pot roasts are my favorite, but I haven't seen any in the stores for a long time. I think that cut is winding up in hamburger.

Yes, please post which printer you're using. My HP seems happy with almost any paper, but my Canon is really picky.

Is it still possible to rent them? If so, that's a great way to see how you like various RV styles without investing in an unknown.
You're bringing back great memories of young married days. That long ago (about 40 years!), there were a lot of tent trailers available for rent, and that's how we started out. I don't remember them as being anything more than a tent on wheels, but we had a lot

I answered after getting the gut feeling this project might be due tomorrow, kind of like microchip13's fire starting project. If I was wrong and there's more time, then having it done by a printing outfit is the way to go.

Open the image in PS, divide it into four sections, and save/print each selection as a separate image file. Remember to allow some overlap for when you get ready to tape the pieces together.

In this case, yes. Although even as I wrote that I figured somebody would have a remark to make. There's no indication of WHICH blog she was reading. If a drug company says a drug

I've taken Darvoset after a couple of surgeries, but it's sure nothing I'd be willing to take at a "maintenance" level for arthritis. Plus, I certainly would lend more credence to what a drug company says than a blog, too! It contains an addictive substance and is not intended for long term use. It also contains Tylenol, and an anti-inflammatory that works differently would be a bett

Hot dam(n)! I've got the icon for the B&W in the Dock now. I don't usually mess with that keychain thing for fear I'm going to accidentally lock myself out of my own computer. Don't laugh; if anybody could do that it would be me.
I looked at the Prefs for the Finder, and the one to show connected drives in the sidebar is already checked. The only time it shows up there is when the co

Well that's weird!!! Personal File Sharing was off on the B&W, but I don't know exactly when/how that happened. I'd been connected to it up until I did a restart on this PB a couple of days ago. Of course, as soon as enabled it again the PB found it immediately. Thank you! I hadn't verified that setting because I hadn't touched the B&W in weeks and assumed nothing had been changed.

Well, except now the next issue. When I try to access the B&W from the PB, I get "connection failed, no response from the server." Except I can go to the B&W and access the PB. ??? At least I was able to do the backup by sitting at the B&W, but this is frustrating.
I have a true love/hate relationship with these computers.

PB running 10.3.9
This morning my hand jerked just as I was trying to re-establish the network connection with my little B & W server. I had just clicked on the "Network" icon in the upper left corner of my main HD window, but the jerk caused the icon to "whoosh" and totally disappear. I restarted the computer, hoping it would magically reappear, but it didn't.

Or, instead of totally freaking, you could do a little checking first. My guess is the other insurance company can easily bury another $500 in their settlement of the claim to cover the damage to the rental car. They've already got a reserve set because of the property damage and the injury; any decent adjuster will add in a touch extra to keep you happy. Don't make a big deal out of something

Four months from Thailand? Hmmmm, not bad. It took five days for me to get a message from my son, who lives about six miles away and uses the same ISP. If you ever figure out this internet thing, will ya explain it to me please?
By the way, I love the pooch. It has a very cute little face.

Thanks, tortoise. I think I will increase the final deposit by enough to at least get the final tax amount below $1,000. Now that I think back on all the years my husband was self-employed, adjusting the quarterly deposit based on income was standard procedure. This situation is a little different, but it's worth a try. At this point I have nothing to lose, and I'll come out a little ahead if

Thank you.

At the beginning of 2005, I estimated my income for 2005 and based my quarterly deposits on that amount. Later in the year, I decided to cash in two life insurance policies, but the agent forgot to mention the little detail about the fact there may be a tax liability, so I didn't make any allowance for that nor recalculate my quarterly deposits. My estimate for total income, interest, and divid

If it's in your right thumb, it's highly unlikely to be carpal tunnel. I've had the surgery on both hands, and the symptoms generally are more severe and widespread than tingling/pain in the thumb. It could be a form of tendinitis, though; I've had to have a couple of cortisone shots for that.

Have you been running the maintenance stuff? Panther still needs work on the CRON scripts if the computer is not left on (not asleep - on) during the wee hours of the morning. I use MacJanitor, which is a free utility. And, do you repair permissions after installing new applications or system updates? You need to do that occasionally, too, from Applications>Utiilities>Disk Utility.

I think some people are jumping to conclusions, considering the circumstances. David put these things in the back yard before the sale of the house was finalized. I'd give the neighbor the benefit of the doubt - once - and go for the "Oh silly me" approach.
I'd go over there and explain that, a week before closing, you had moved some things into the backyard. The next time you cam

The reason I'm so suspicious that this is designed to get around "the system" is because we'd gradually gotten to the point where we were pretty much free of phone solicitors. Long before the Do Not Call list was established, there was a requirement that businesses had to remove you from their list if you requested that. My husband and I had been pretty conscientious about asking them
