I've read all of the blow-by-blows of the trial and it seems to me that the defense has got nothing while the prosecution has tons of airtight corroborated testimony and a very clear legal theory. Unless there is a secret trumper on the jury who will vote to exonerate his man despite any facts, this is going to be a guilty verdict. Not guilty is impossible IMHO. A hung jury is what the defense is

Personally, I'd go with the Apple battery replacement but the independents are likely cheaper. Are there any independent phone repair/battery replacement shops near you? An iPhone 12 Pro is still a pretty capable phone so I wouldn't get rid of it.
