We have bought a number of handmade Persian rugs from internet direct importers. They have all been great, and a fraction of the price of local rug merchants. In fact my wife changed her mind on our decor and ended up selling one of those rugs on craigslist for double what we paid for it.

Progressive scan makes a huge difference, but only if you have an EDTV or HDTV with component inputs. For standard definition TV progressive scan won't work...it must be turned off.
Also note that not all progressive scan players are the same. The signal processing in many of the cheaper ones (and even some expensive models) has bugs that produce motion artifacts that show up in a major way

Also note that benzene is the a common persistent aromatic hydrocarbon in groundwater that is contaminated due to gas station and refinery tank leaks, and thus is fairly common in urban areas. Even with extensive cleanup, it is present (along with many other compounds) at very low concentrations in drinking water in some areas (after all, the drinking water standard is higher than the detection

Hydrogen fusion, linked to massive thermonuclear reactions that occur everyday on the sun, is created by the reaction of two atoms of hydrogen, an element of water. Ignoring basic chemistry, major brands left the avoidable element in many drinks, especially those featuring fruit juice or labelled as vitamin water to lure health-conscious parents.

Thank your politicians and remember this next time you vote. Sorry to say, but my family has been in this awful pre-existing condition bind for years. We pay insane amounts of money and have difficulty changing coverage. Fortunately we're in California where we can get extended COBRA, but that is running out so we'll probably end up in the ultra-expensive state high risk pool. The only soluti

Given how much you've messed around with the drive, it sounds like it is beyond hope for an amateur and possibly for a pro. I'd call up a data recovery company and get an estimate before I'd touch the drive again. Then, when they give you the hefty estimate you can decide how much your pix are worth to you.

Would you care to share your reasoning with us on this. Since your statement flies in the face of all the evidence I am aware of, I'd be interested in knowing what exactly drives people to make statements like this.

Ditto bangman's advice. Go to a decent bike store and try on a range of brands/sizes. The best helmet is one that is comfortable enough that you'll wear it.

I don't think I'd do it if I were you. Honda auto trannys of that vintage are not known for longevity...in fact, a friend of mine and I both had our trannys go out in the last few years...mine was a '91, hers an '85. I don't know how the manual trannys hold up.

The nice thing about set-top PVRs (generally not including cable company boxes) is that they allow you to skip over content you don't want to see. For the huddled masses this might be OK, but I'll stick with my ReplayTV until they pry it from my cold...etc. There's no way I would ever get another service that forced me to watch commercials. I'd rather pay for the content than suffer through th

Doing DIY muffler work is a fool's errand. It is a horrendous job that is usually easily and relatively cheaply done by a muffler shop.
Forget the tranny...in fact forget the aerostar. You now have a very large paperweight. You'll be lucky to get rid of the vehicle without paying.

The main point to that article is that Jobs sold all those shares on the 19th to pay the taxes on the larger amount of stock that he is vesting in, and that apple repurchased all of the "tax payment" stock to stabilize the amount of open stock on the market. When a company repurchases its own stock it is generally good for investors.

My mom's 740 is the only Epson I have experience with that hasn't clogged and she leaves it unused for months at a stretch. On the other hand, all my Epson's were used regularly and suffered sudden unfixable clogs...two of them on Epson ink, one of them on
