300 is fantastic, like dk said check the facts at the door and just enjoy it for what it is, I didn't think I could get past the details but about 30 mins in it lifts you up and carries you away... and it's the loudest movie since Black Hawk Down.

I use handbrake to rip dvd's, excellent software. For the iPod I just drop the avi's onto iSquint, done in a jiffy.

I have an MDD 1.25 that is now reduced to pretty much being a server, it was slowly being outdated as I have found myself relying more and more on the my MacBook Pro. It has been replaced by an Intel iMac for all the day to day stuff.

I never have a budget for fonts, but I have gotten a lot of mileage out of free fonts. Comic book based fonts. House Industries has been rather helpful but they ain't free.

I had one, lasted about 2 weeks, the geometry was beyond awful, very noticeable bowing and hot spots started appearing in the corners. Think I paid $700 for mine, returned it and upgraded to the Sony XBR970. You pretty much get what you pay for, and no amount of discount can make up for the geometry problems let alone the hot spots.

Had that problem too when I first got mine too. They aren't encrypted, it's just a weak signal. Boost and/or move your signal and the problem will be gone.
