Now that work might start to transition back to the office, at least a day or 2 per week, I need to start thinking about a work setup that allows me to have something close to my home set up. My current home setup... 2018 15 inch MBP (run in clamshell mode) 2.9 GHz 6 core i9, 32 GB RAM, and 2 TB drive. It's connected to an HP 27" monitor. My most intensive work is using Parallels toby jardster - Tips and Deals
do you have a staples near by? I have had good luck with Brother printers (and AIOs)- and Staples has next day shipping for me (or pick-up in an hour).by jardster - Tips and Deals
I wish I could since they keep raising their rates... but all 3 kids watch plenty of shows on it, so it's probably the most used streaming we have. Disney+ is mandatory for Star Wars shows and Marvel. Hulu is cheap getting my son's college discount. HBO+ is free with ATT phone plan.by jardster - Tips and Deals
We had a 19 inch in the kitchen and I like to have it to watch some news or sports while I'm cooking dinner. It was dying and got a basic 720p Insignia from Best Buy for $100. It isn't an amazing TV, but it serves its purpose.by jardster - Tips and Deals
The first one lasted 2-3 years until my wife cracked it, and the new one has been working perfectly for the last 2 years. Every 6 months or so, I get the scale off the bottom by boiling some vinegar in it, otherwise nothing to do to keep it working.by jardster - Tips and Deals
This is what you are looking for.... I've had 2 (my wife broke the first banging the glass into something). It has a blue light that shows it is heating up, then turns off when it reaches max temp. Auto shut off. No other bells and whistles. And... only $35!by jardster - Tips and Deals
I'm partial to Brother's for Laser printers. I've used them exclusively, and at pretty high volume. I just had one that started to have some roller issues.... but this was after 2 years of constant daily use for work from home. For $100 refurbished it was totally worth it. Just replaced it with the L2370DW (XL) which comes with a high volume cartridge, and a very-high volume cartrige.by jardster - Tips and Deals
... not in terms of clothing, or cars, or relationships. We are talking Colonoscopy! Serious for a moment... it is now recommended that adults start getting a screening colonoscopy at age 45 (previously it was 50), even in the absence of any symptoms or risk factors. I have no symptoms and have no major risk factors, but on Wednesday I went to have my first colonoscopy at age 47, and tby jardster - Tips and Deals
The S and the 3 are a LOT different. The S is a larger sedan, and WAY pricier. There are a lot of cosmetic differences as well. Now the 3 and the Y, those are almost identical in every way, except the Y is a little larger.by jardster - Tips and Deals
I've had my Model 3 for about 2.5 years and love it. It's a great driving car, fast as all get out. Zero maintenance in that 2 years (except to have the main computer upgraded- but that was free). I only have a 10 mile commute to work (back when we used to drive to work), so never really had much range anxiety. My wife has been driving it a lot during the pandemic since I'm working at home,by jardster - Tips and Deals

there is a switch. If someone isn't sitting in the driver's seat it turns off. When autopilot is on, you need to be aware by giving the steering wheel a jiggle or change the volume of the radio using the steering wheel every few minutes. If you don't, an alarm goes off and the car will actually stop itself. Accidents happen, it's not necessarily technology's fault.by jardster - Tips and Deals
My series 4 updated in about 20 minutes yesterday. With Watch updates, you always need to leave it in the charger until it's done. Gotta say, being able to unlock my phone while wearing my mask-- without my passcode-- is super helpful!by jardster - Tips and Deals
QuoteRobert M jadster, It's behind a paywall. Here is a link to the story on Stars and Stripes: Robert Thanks... I always forget about that paywall.by jardster - Tips and Deals
My 15-year-old daughter is taking a computer class in HS and has really enjoyed it. She talks about wishing that she could learn some coding but doesn't really know where to begin. I wouldn't have expected it of her... she isn't a tech kind of person, but I think it's great for her to look into and teaches great skills. Anyone here familiar with any ways to start the process of learning codiby jardster - Tips and Deals
What is currently the easiest way to make a bootable clone of my MBP to use when my MBP is being repaired? I was going to make a clome, and then take one of my old MBPs that my kids use and just boot from the external clone. TIAby jardster - Tips and Deals
My 2018 MBP has a swollen battery and needs to be replaced under AppleCare. I took it to my local Apple store and they agreed that was the problem, and said it might take 4-5 days to fix. It's my primary work computer, so being without it for that long is tough. I've got a MicroCenter in my area and they say they can do it, much shorter time. Has anyone had any experiences, good or bad, witby jardster - Tips and Deals
I had a similar problem with mine. After youtubing it... realized that it was the heating element on the bottom of the icemaker. Normally, it heats up just a little before the ice is ejected, but when that fails the ice can't come out normally. I had to take out the entire ice maker (which was a PIA), but replacing the heating element was easy, and it's been smooth sailing since.by jardster - Tips and Deals
That's sad. I remember going there after a night out at bars in Virginia Highlands, and easily putting away 6 hot donuts.by jardster - Tips and Deals
I drive a Tesla 3, and love everything about it. Installed a charger at home, have only charged twice away from home (for long drives, we take my wife's gas car). It's fun to drive, and hasn't given me a lick of trouble.by jardster - Tips and Deals
I've been pretty happy with this one... The only thing that is a little annoying is it takes a little longer to "wake up" than an apple model... but it's really only a few seconds when it hasn't been used for a while.by jardster - Tips and Deals
It's something I certainly won't miss. Rarely use it and will happy with the Silicone chip in a 15/16 inch MBP.by jardster - Tips and Deals
When we redid our roof, the roofer didn't use a ridge vent, for whatever reason. I was looking through the warranty info for the shingles we used, and it said that NOT using a ridge vent might void the warranty. So, out he came and installed one. No issues with it.by jardster - Tips and Deals
Quoteclay this 27" HP 4k is a really nice display at around $500: That's the one I went with and I've been happy with it.by jardster - Tips and Deals
