This doesn't specifically address the silicon macs, but iMacs in general as a monitor...by jardster - Tips and Deals
QuotepRICE cUBE New owner says he will keep the team in Utah but I wouldn't be shocked if someday they are the London Jazz or Paris Jazz. The NBA had envisioned a European division. Small market teams would be the first to give in and be sold or relocated. As if the flying across the country isn't bad enough, now they are going to fly to Europe to play games on a regular basis?by jardster - Tips and Deals
I guess they have been using them for long enough and I've upgraded enough portable Macs that I've got so many extra Torx screwdrivers sitting around.by jardster - Tips and Deals
I would also guess that you just need to adjust them so they have a tighter seal. They do sit differently than the old AirPods, and it took me a good bit of time getting them in the right position. But, I do love the sound, especially when watching TV on my iPad or even on my TV (via my appleTv). I think the sound in those situations is great!by jardster - Tips and Deals
I haven't used a screen protector for several generations of iPhones. I have a basic apple leather case on it and that's it. I throw it in my pocket, drop it on the ground occasionally, generally beat the hell out of it, and not a scratch on the screen. Just my 2centsby jardster - Tips and Deals
I get a message every day letting me know that it's been another day since I've backed up my MBP at the office. (Don't worry, I back it up at home every day). I haven't removed my office TM drive from my TM preferences because it reminds me how long we've been working from home. Not sure why, but 212 days today seemed like a lot. This has certainly changed how I practice medicine, and Iby jardster - Tips and Deals
I do want wireless. I don’t really care about size or. a number keypad... just want full size keys.by jardster - Tips and Deals
I’ve been using a smaller Apple wireless keyboard and I’d like something more full sized. I’ve looked at Amazon and I see a lot of 2.4 Hz but none of them are Mac compatible. I took my chances on one and it wasn’t recognized by the computer. Anyone have one they actually like? Thanksby jardster - Tips and Deals
I charge exclusively on the Left a this point because of the set up I've got. Can't say that I've ever seen a process go that hog wild. The kernel_task usually takes up less than 10% CPU... with everything I've got running and the multiple cores, the Idle CPU percent is usually around 90%.by jardster - Tips and Deals

Quotemacphanatic I have the $50 Aukey 1080. Image is pretty good. Use it with the work laptop as I sit in front of a larger monitor and not the laptop screen. I got the same thing and it's on my new monitor. It is noticeably better quality than my 1.5 year old MBP web cam.by jardster - Tips and Deals

Find this solution to clear the form.... Add a Reset Form button A Reset Form button clears any data a user has already entered in the form. It is like the Tools > Prepare Form > More > Clear Form feature, which is available to you when you create and edit Acrobat forms. However, you can set up your reset button so that it clears only specific fields. Choose Tools > Prepare Form,by jardster - Tips and Deals
QuoteCarm I’ve filled those out before. Just make a blank one and make copies of it. There is no template option. Edit: user should use Adobe Acrobat Reader to fill out form, PDF would not change/save after closing. That is what I thought... but when I fill it out on my iPad and then print it, and quit Adobe Acrobat Reader, it saves it so the next time I open it, it's already filled out wiby jardster - Tips and Deals
I've got a pdf form that I have made, but I don't know how to "lock" it, so that I can fill out the form, but it doesn't change the original document. Basically, I need to fill out the form, print it/save as pdf, and then be able to fill it out again later, but want the checkboxes and text boxes blank again. I've got Adobe Acrobat, but can't figure it out. TIAby jardster - Tips and Deals
Just got the new HP Z27 (quick shipping by B+H) and have started the set up. I've never had this much screen real estate, and I'm not exactly sure how I'll end up doing it. For now, it's running side by side with my MBP. Amazing how much extra space I have and how much less I'll need to be flipping between windows since I can have a bunch open at once. Auskey Webcam was plug and play. Iby jardster - Tips and Deals
Quotesekker Did you get the monitor with a built-in webcam, or a separate webcam? Separate. There aren't that many with them built in, so it seemed easier to find a good monitor and just add on.by jardster - Tips and Deals
Quotejdc Quotejardster I decided to try the HP 27" with the webcam on Amazon. Will set it up next week and see how I like it. The 727? did u order direct from HP? Says 8 days. Im seriously considering moving to a 32" 4K. Wish I knew what the next iMac will look like. Was hoping for a 32" model this time... but prob 2 years out until an apple silicon version... I guess it doesn't have to have a camera if the add on ones are ok. Budget for monitor would be $500 +/-.by jardster - Tips and Deals
After 6 months of working from home on my 15" MBP, I'm ready to give up on the small screen and want a larger screen so I can have multiple app windows open and visible at the same time. I'm not doing anything that requires precision color. I know that I could use a dual monitor set-up, but to me it seems easier to have a single larger monitor (27" maybe) that has a camera built-in,by jardster - Tips and Deals

I was just thinking about the Laserwriter LS that I bought heading to college ... that thing kept rolling along (4ppm... omg, i don't remember it being that slow) for about 12 years, then conneectivity became tough. Just moved my oldest into his dorm room... wasn't sure he even needs a printer, but had a junky Brother that I probobly paid $50 sitting around, so put it in his room.by jardster - Tips and Deals
That's an amazing price. In for 1 for my son who leaves for college in 2 weeks-- now he can have a charger at his desk (where I'm sure he'll never sit) and one at his bed (where he'll probably be watching all of his streamed classes).by jardster - Tips and Deals
Even easier... you can do the same thing by holding down the space bar.by jardster - Tips and Deals
For me, meh it's fine. For my kids.... invaluable. They watch stuff on it much more these days than Netflix/Prime.by jardster - Tips and Deals
