That's it - as a result of TC Heartland LLC v. Kraft Foods Group Brand, LLC, venue is not proper in a patent infringement action where the defendant has simply committed an alleged act of infringement (e.g., selling an allegedly infringing product) in a jurisdiction. Rather, venue in a patent infringement action is now limited to the place of incorporation or where the defendant has committed anby MEG - Tips and Deals
Quotetestcase How would such a move stop “patent trolls”? IIRC, residency determines the applicable venue of a patent infringement lawsuit. If Apple isn't in that district, the trolls can't use those courts and the Eastern District verdicts are pretty much the inverse of any other district in patent infringement cases (in the trolls favor) which is why the trolls use them.by MEG - Tips and Deals
I know AT&T is perpetually offering a buy 1 get 1 deal (and I imagine the other carriers have similar deals). You can get 2 iPhone 8's for $600 or jump to 2 iPhone XR's for $750. If your current phone can be sold for a decent amount it could make the net for 2 phones be less than the single refurb. The small print requires you to have the "free" phone on contract for 2 years so sby MEG - Tips and Deals
Give it another go with the toothpick. I've used an interdental brush in the past which I found better than a toothpick due to the bristles and smaller size. YMMV.by MEG - Tips and Deals
Go west young man! My parents lived up in north jersey by the NY border (Mahwah). When we didn't want to deal with the closterflock that is 95 we bounced west into PA on 78 to Harrisburg and then took 15 down to northern VA. For you I'd say take 78 to Harrisburg and then down 81 before you cut back east in VA to get to Raleigh (or 15 down to 29 which will get you to Greensboro). Should only aby MEG - Tips and Deals

I've always had a great experience with them too. Not to throw salt in your wound but the MBP I ordered on Monday was received on Wednesday (and it was a Cyber Monday special priced item).by MEG - Tips and Deals
What the what?? Well, that definitely puts a wrinkle in my plans to pull the Aura out of my current MBP when I sell it and popping it an an external when I get my new one...by MEG - Tips and Deals
Well, a playlist might not be the best for what your are trying to do because a playlist is just that, a list of songs that will be played one after the other. It's not a play stop ;) That said, they should play in sequence as long as you don't have shuffle play engaged (swipe up from now playing card to show more options and make sure shuffle is set how you want it). I'm resurrecting an old 2007 24" iMac (with 6GB RAM, HD/SSD to be determined). What's the best OS to put on it (trying to balance performance and best compatibility with the 2018 internet world/services)?by MEG - Tips and Deals
Just throwing this out there - the Anker Soundcore2 is small and well under $100. Yes, it's bluetooth but you can run it "wired" using the Aux jack (standard headphone cable) and also plugged in to power with the charging cord. Just saying...by MEG - Tips and Deals

Technically they didn't pull their recommendation so the since 2014 statement stands. They didn't initially give that MacBookPro a recommendation because of a bug in the software on the device. That a MBP didn't get a recommendation was the big news. Once the bug was fixed, it got a recommendation.by MEG - Tips and Deals
They've been selling annual subscriptions for $99 via gift cards for months. And you can apply the gift cards at least to the family plan I've heard since it should use your balance first. I've got to get off my duff and try it myself but I'm a slacker PS: But it's nice to see the option within the App Store itself now.by MEG - Tips and Deals
I feel your pain as I, as an Aperture user, am clinging on. I still can't commit to Lightroom because of the subscription model (even accepting JDC's rationale) and more so that freaking interface that makes me want to punch something everytime I have to switch modules to do something and interrupting my workflow. Realize some of that is probably old dog...new tricks but it's where we are. Yby MEG - Tips and Deals

Gotta ask the basic question first: is it in a format that works on the iPhone? Then is it set to sync to the iPhone? If so, by default when adding a video file to iTunes it'll be tagged as a "Home Video". In the TV app it should appear under Home Videos. To change that, in iTunes, you can give your movie the "kind" you want so it'll show up where you want. Select theby MEG - Tips and Deals
Quotecyclemax I don't see how someone can say winning the coin toss gives a team a greater advantage. Yes statistically the team that wins the coin toss in OT wins the game a little under 60% of the time 53.8 percent I'm with cyclemax. Hardly an "incredible" advantage. I'd say the team that had the "incredible" advantage would be the team that just scored 25 straight pby MEG - Tips and Deals
Those f-wads pulled the same stunt with me when I cancelled service years ago. Cancelled service and turned my equipment in couple days prior to the billing cycle date, got receipt from Comcast showing equipment returned, then got a prorated bill for the next billing cycle a couple weeks later. Escalated it and got a spoke with a "manager" who first told me that I would be billed untiby MEG - Tips and Deals
QuoteGuyGene wha' about if you must have home phone kind of modem? I've checked into getting own modem, but last I checked, Komkast, Southern Sektor, requires their own modem if you have cable phone service. I'd like to get my own... I went the Ooma route - VOIP phone service, uses the "regular" modem (meaning one you can easily buy), and only costs the emergency line fee per month (aby MEG - Tips and Deals

Quotebazookaman I wonder if HB would fail with my ripped movies. I rip all of mine FIRST using a different app. Then encode them in HB. No, it only fails when trying to rip (i.e., decrypt a CSS protected DVD) because that particular dll is missing/moved. If your other ripper properly ripped the DVD, HB will encode it fine without the workaround.by MEG - Tips and Deals

QuoteSpiff Ok. So. I , as an iPhone 4S owner on ATT network, will have to pay FULL PRICE of an iPhone 6 or 6+ (699 and up?) if I want to upgrade, instead of getting a break on the phone ($300) with a new two year contract? I tend to keep my phones a long time, and the subsidized plans seem to work best for me in the long run. Rats. I'm with Silvarios - that does seem backwards. Based onby MEG - Tips and Deals
