Tiangou - I had to go look up my supposed EoB from Anthem to refresh my memory why it seemed useless. It was simply useless. A broad category, a code relating to insurance processing and NOT services rendered, and a slew of dollar amounts.

AAAAHHHH!!! WHAT @#$%& @#$%&!!! I went through this recently. My wife went in for a routine preventative procedure. I don't even remember what it was. The bill basically said "visit" and then listed the total due. I looked for the billing codes on the insurance side of things but for some reason that didn't work. I had to specifically request an itemized bill from the provider. T

I think you're right, but when the incoming officials want to tear everything down, it might not matter much. I don't see how they could touch SS and remain in power. Doesn't mean they won't, doesn't mean they won't AND get away with it. All I can do is sit back and watch it all play out.

I have ring WITHOUT the monitoring service. I was grandfathered into the $100/year plan which amazon is NOT increasing. Hm, I wonder if you can have the alarm features without monitoring. We just have cameras. Initially my wife wanted a full system but watching wildlife on the ring cameras were enough to convince her that a) we knew what was going on b) we didn't need anything more complex

You might check out craigslist or facebook marketplace and see if you can find M1 minis for a good deal. Still a big speed increase for you but it would save you a couple of hundred dollars.
