That's David & Dania. They get standing ovations every where they perform. Both were circus performers - she's from Russia, he's from the US. They put their knowledge together and created this one of a kind act. I have seen them perform live on stage twice at magicians' conventions and they always bring down the house. (I saw them just last week in Miami.) Michaelby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
I couldn't find the specs for the HL-5170n so I'll assume it has the same basic memory as the HL-5150 (16 mb.) I have an HL-1850 (an earlier model) and I upgraded it to 144 mb from 16 mb. I didn't notice much of a difference in general processing speed but it is now able to handle more complex documents without "choking." For instance, I had some PDF files that it would either not prby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
I see you've found the Macresource forums. Here's the post I left at the other place: On a scale of 0 - 10 at ResellerRatings.com, CCI Camera City rates 0.70 for their lifetime ratings. That's 0.70 (less than a 1!) You need to avoid them: As for gray market equipment, I've never heard it said that they had less quality control. Gray market cameras were never intended to be sold in the Uby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
I have the Belkin USB wireless adapter on my wife's iMac (slot loading iMac DV SE) and, while it works, it does drive her crazy because it will drop the connection while the computer "sleeps". Then, she has to restart. Her ethernet port is currently being used to connect to an Apple Laserwriter Pro 630. Can the ethernet port be shared by this D-Link unit and her laser printer? I bought a stack of AA NiMH from here: I've been very satisfied with the AAs. They last longer than the Energizer batteries I got from Sam's Club. The only peculiarity I found is that they are slightly larger in diameter. It's not a problem in my digital cameras or my camera flash but, in some toys, it's too tight a fit. I also bought some 9v NiMH batteries ffrom them. They work well for mby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
I'm using OS X 10.3.9 with Mail 1.3.11. Every so often, Mail marks all my emails as unread. While not catastrophic, it's certainly annoying. I've done some searching for answers on Apple's site and found others with the same problem but nothing that fixes it. Anyone here know of a fix? (Or what causes it?) Thanks, Michaelby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
I went ahead and installed wamcom and it took care of the problem. Thanks, Michaelby magicmikey - Tips and Deals

I have run into a bizarre problem on my wife's iMac DV SE. She's running OS 9.2 and Netscape Communicator 7.0. Last week, she started having problems emailing PDF attachments. The attachments are more than 1 MB in size and they start to send properly but after going 1%, the mail program acts like it has sent the email with the attachment. When checking the sent folder, the emails show an attachmeby magicmikey - Tips and Deals

Actually, the driver I'm using is version 1.1.5 which appears to be even newer than the one on Epson's website. PeterB, do you prefer the 1280 to the 1270? If so, why? Thanks, Michaelby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
I've had an Epson Color Stylus 1270 for several years. It worked great under OS 9 but no new driver was ever released for OS X (I'm on 10.3.9). The built-in OS X driver leaves out a lot of options that were available under OS 9 and I'm having trouble getting accurate color. The GIMP driver restores a lot of options but the color is way off, everything prints much darker and the printer runs reby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
Although it's certainly not small, I opted for a Dell 3100cn. It's a true PostScript Level 3 color laser printer. The price has been as low as $300 for it. (It does need additional RAM because it won't print anything complex with the stock memory.) One of the big complaints was the cost of toner cartridges since there are no compatibles but I've found that they go reasonably inexpensively on eby magicmikey - Tips and Deals

Rob, I just received my 300 gb drive from Buy.com. Where are you reading the negative reviews? Before I ordered, I checked several user reviews and the only complaints I saw were about the weight of the drive and the backup software it uses. I'd like to read the other reviews to see what to be on the lookout for. Thanks, Michaelby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
Try changing the extension to .xls rather than .xlr. I used to have problems opening some Powerpoint presentations I was receiving because they came in as .ppt rather than .pps. I didn't have MS Office at the time and Open Office wouldn't recognize it until I changed the extension. Michaelby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
I have a friend who ended up with a LaserWriter Plus. He is a PC user so he asked me to see if it's usable at all. I know it's really ancient (I checked Apple's specs online) so it is of no use to me. He wondered if there is any way to make it networkable. Anyone know the answer? The OS X driver is probably not compatible with the Intel processor and I doubt you'll be seeing any updates from Belkin since they've discontinued this adapter.by magicmikey - Tips and Deals
You can use one of the Belkin USB Adapters: I have one on my wife's iMac, running OS 9.2.2, and there are also OS X drivers. The only negatives are that it seems to drop the connection randomly and you have to unplug it to restart your iMac. (It causes freezing if you start up with it connected.) I understand the adapters with the single antenna, like the one in the auction, do a better joby magicmikey - Tips and Deals

You could do what I used to when taking photos. If the client wanted something I didn't think would look good, I would shoot it their way and then do it my way. It would be extra work for you, but you could do a quick design based on the one he likes and then do one like you think it should be to see if he'll go with your design. Sure, it's extra work but at least you'll be happy with the fby magicmikey - Tips and Deals

Looks like you posted at nearly the same time as me. I also installed a DVD-R/RW in my B&W (Pioneer 107) and I have used iMovie 4 and iDVD 4 quite successfully. It takes a while for iDVD to render a video on the B&W but all it takes is a little patience.by magicmikey - Tips and Deals
I put the Daystar G4 600 processor in my B&W G3 before I switched to Panther about 3 years ago and have never had any problems. I did max my RAM to 1 Gig to make Panther run smoothly but that wasn't too bad. I bought the B&W used and it remains my only computer. I run InDesign CS 2, Photoshop Elements 3.0, MS Office 2004, etc. and, while it isn't blazingly fast, it is certainly quite uby magicmikey - Tips and Deals

Are you using AOL? Seems like AOL users have a lot of trouble receiving attachments in their proper format if sent from a Mac. (I tried to send some JPGs to a PC user on AOL and they all came to him as a text file. I then sent them to another person using AOL on a Mac. Same result. I couldn't convince them that it was the settings in AOL so I finally just forwarded the JPGs to a third friend whoby magicmikey - Tips and Deals
