Jem, I have a Brother HL-1850 laser printer (mono) that has Postscript emulation and I have the Dell 3100cn color laser printer with true Postscript 3. The reason I need Postscript is that I do a lot of layouts in InDesign (and in the past in PageMaker) that use Postscript fonts and EPS graphics. Those will not printer properly if you are using a printer without Postscript or Postscript emu

In OS 9, Appleworks usually resides in the folder named Applications (OS 9). Did you check in that folder for it to see if it's still there? If it was in the applications folder for OS 8.6 and you did the upgrade, it may still be there.

The Brother label printer is PC only according to the specs. I, too, got a Dymo 400 Turbo from OfficeMax for a great price ($30 after rebate.) The had the label printer on sale for half-price, then I had a $10 off coupon and there was a $30 rebate. This was late last year.

I have a Brother HL-1850 and it prints postcards nicely. What happens when you try to print? I'm using Appleworks 6 in OS X 10.3.9. I created a custom paper size of 4" x 6" for the postcards and use the multi-purpose (manual) feed tray. I've never had a problem. Michael

Purplus Software ( ) was the store that had the PS Elements 3.0 cheap but h linamen is correct. They no longer list it on the site. By the way, I purchased PSE 3.0 from Purplus when it came with a PS/2 mouse and I got great service from them. Michael

Well, that allowed me to correct it in Word but the Office registration is still wrong. Anyway to fix that? It's not that big a deal but I'd like to correct it if it's easy enough. Where does MS Office store registration information? - 18 years ago

I am using MS Office 2004 in OS X 10.3.9. When I registered it, I made a typo in my name (must have been in a hurry!) and now Word tries to put my name in incorrectly. Where is the registration information stored? I want to delete it and re-register it properly. Thanks, Michael

I used a Laserwriter Pro 630 for years (my wife's now using it) and it always did a great job. I currently use a Brother HL-1850 laser that I love. The logo always printed as 100% black when I printed it on my Epson printers so I assume that logo was set right. I don't know that much about Freehand. To make my logo, all I did was type in my text and added a couple of horizontal lines. After getting it laid out the way I wanted it, I saved the logo as an EPS. Since I didn't make any adjustments to the text color, I assumed it was 100% black.
