QuoteDennis S I've talked to a few dietitians. All use the ADA guidelines, especially if they are affiliated with a clinic or hospital. I don't know of any who are not. That's why I said nutritionist above. They are totally different than dietitians and actually know what they're doing in terms of organic chemistry, etc. There's been a push lately for doctors to start advising patients on nutriby trisho. - Tips and Deals

Ugh. I'm sorry to hear that, really. It may be time to take this into your own hands and follow your intuition while carefully monitoring the results. Check back in with your doctor over the phone or email every 2 weeks to let him know what's working & what's not.by trisho. - Tips and Deals

I'm Type II diabetic as well and have read that pretty much the ADA doesn't know what the hell it's talking about in reference to actually treating diabetes. Other people I've read have their doctors telling them to eat 300g of carbs per day which is insane. My nutritionist told me I was only allowed to have max 45g of carbs per meal about about 20g per snack (2x a day). So total for my 150lb 5'-by trisho. - Tips and Deals
You can also try using TeuxDeux . It has a "Someday" section of the calendar where you can just put general reminders. It's a web, and iPhone app. An independent developer also made an Android version of it too, I believe.by trisho. - Tips and Deals

QuoteTrouble I've lived in the south my entire life and I've never heard the term until this thread. But I'm sure you are quite the expert about all things "in the south." Credit unions may be okay for most folks, but I tend to travel a lot and it's to not rack up ATM fees that way. I'm currently in Brussels and guess what? There's a major Citibank here (that's my home bank in the U.S.). I'm one of the people they're going to start charging $15 per month for EZ Checking. Complete lack of taste. They're publicity seekers. I don't know what the appropriate community reaction is in this case. Invite the public to wear black and have 5000 of them drown out the protesters by humming or singing in unison? I honestly don't know.by trisho. - Tips and Deals

Enough already with the racism. And so what if other cultures eat dogs or cats? Europeans eat horse too quite readily and easily, but nobody makes fun of them. Where do Americans think all those downed horses go? Not to glue factories anymore. They're all sold to Europe for horse meat. Hey guys, I'm looking for a VPN app to use on my MBP running 10.5.6 to circumnavigate the restrictions Netflix & Hulu have. Someone I follow on Twitter just recently mentioned using HotSpot Shield: . That's so funny, I had exactly the same thing earlier last week, but I was in Paris/Lisbon. Sunday - Wednesday. I had a conference call with a client back in NYC on Tuesday and she said everyone was sick there too. So bizarre. I think it may just be a changing of the weather right now. Our bodies are probably adjusting to the time and season shifts while ramping up for a hectic Fall. I blame mineby trisho. - Tips and Deals
Any way to plant food on that lawn? You could plant some edibles closer to the front of the house, but further away from the sidewalk/peeing dogs & college students. For instance, kale, cabbage, dandelion greens, etc. Some cilantro and chili pepper plants would go well there too. You could have a whole salad mix in your front lawn!by trisho. - Tips and Deals

Hi gang, some of you may remember that I was leaving NYC for a bit to try living in Europe for a short while. Well, I'm finally here. I landed in Brussels on Friday 9/9 and that will be my home base until 11/21. For now, I'm in Paris and then will go to Lisbon, Portugal this Sunday until next Saturday. Should be a good time.
