You must be reading my mind. I'm also looking to go up to 1TB of storage or more. I'm just finally ready to consolidate old & new data and not have 4 different drives on my desk. So forum gurus, who's the best right now and what are the best deals? Thanks for asking the question IronMac.by trisho. - Tips and Deals
QuoteMac-A-Matic The hanger steak is also a favorite. It's relatively unknown because those in the know tend to hoard it for themselves - I do. Unlike the other cuts on a cow, there is only one hanger per cow and it sits right at the bottom of the cow, next to the kidneys. While Trisho may have said that it's very tender, the hanger is not - it's a bit more chewy and has quite a bit of textureby trisho. - Tips and Deals
QuoteAlphaDog I've never heard of hanger steak. What part of the beef is it from? I suspect it's simply a matter of the piece of meat being called something else in this part of the country. Alpha...you're missing out, girl. Hanger steak is some the most tender steak you'll ever eat. Thanks for the advice DRR. Another point I forgot to mention is that it's an onsite gig for 20 - 25 hours/week. Come July, it may go up to 30 hours/week.by trisho. - Tips and Deals

Hi gang, I know it's been a while (school, business, very long vacation, etc) but I would love to get your input please. I'm being considered for a contract position as a Drupal Themer/front end dev and will probably be discussing money later today. Thing is, I don't know how much per hour one makes. I was thinking of asking for $75/hr with my base limit being $60. Is this right in line, espeby trisho. - Tips and Deals
Oh dear, I'm so sorry about BunBun! I loved all of her holiday attire and they always made me happy with each season. I'll hug our cats Luna & Go Go extra tight for you. Be well...by trisho. - Tips and Deals
I just got off the phone with a second client in the last two weeks who's using 3.5 and is not seeing what I am in 3.6. First an HTML newsletter I was coding now this one is a WordPress site. Safari 4.0.4 seems to be a-ok though, which is weird in and of itself. The key issue seems to be with padding and margins, I think. Are others having this same problem? If this keeps happening, I may havby trisho. - Tips and Deals
Man, I'm feeling old. I didn't really touch Photoshop until 5.0. Thinking back to middle school when I first touched "desktop publishing", I think we used some other program, not Photoshop. What were the other ones around in 1991 - 1993?by trisho. - Tips and Deals
Photoshop has been around for 20 years now and judging from this video most of the features used today have been around since the very beginning. - Happy 20th anniversary to Photoshop! by Giovanni Anticoby trisho. - Tips and Deals
QuoteBlankity Blank Just don't make up your entire diet out of crap, and when you do occasionally eat crap, just don't eat a metric f*ckton of it. I'm totally poaching that neologism. I normally use "@#$%& ton" instead.by trisho. - Tips and Deals
Thanks for the big ups, decay. I spent about 30 minutes catching up on 10 pages of it this morning when my day started out funky. Cheered me up immensely. And yeah Mike, that NorCal Internet Services site is priceless. I'm entirely hoping it's a spoof site.by trisho. - Tips and Deals
Bo, I'll echo what the others said about 20% mark up being the norm. I really wanted to come here and say congratulations for having such a large project with hopefully a good revenue stream. We could all use a couple of those. Keep up the good work.by trisho. - Tips and Deals

JP, I hear what you're saying and they don't have an issue paying for good service. I honestly thought ASO was a good service from all the recommendations here and around the web. I trust the forum more than I trust family { cue the awwww } and that's what has me burning up. For them though, they really don't need dedicated server space. Shared rack space is just fine, but it needs to be working,by trisho. - Tips and Deals
lazydays, a really great magazine that I'm thinking of subscribing to is called "Clean Eating" - . It has great recipes that are feasible to make while introducing you to new foods such as spelt, quinoa, etc. Every issue has a 7 or 14 day meal plan you can use along with shopping lists, etc.by trisho. - Tips and Deals
Hi folks. About two months ago, I moved a client from an expensive package at JavaServeletHosting.com over to A Small Orange that fit their needs. Well, it's been nothing but headaches since then. Their servers are constantly down and my client's site is down right now as we speak and it's the middle of the freaking day. It's now become a tradition every 1.5 weeks or so for their site to go down.by trisho. - Tips and Deals
QuoteArticle Accelerator Quote I think M A V I C and i are speaking from the perspective of people who actually produce content for the web & build it versus people who consume the web. I think people in your position should point out to your clients that by using Flash, they are excluding a significant portion of web users from viewing their ads and/or sites, viz. virtually all mobile usby trisho. - Tips and Deals
Nathan, yes Flash navigation is a bigger issue & that's why a lot of sites don't have it even though they have Flash in their main content areas. And yes, Flash does not run well on mobile phones but then again, the iPhone and other phones choke on Ajax functionality as well. I think it's a general issue for advanced web on the phone. I agree with M A V I C that there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding in this thread as to what actually uses Flash on the web. Quotedeckeda QuoteM A V I C ... I know it's a late follow up to this thread but I just found out about . It's a site where you can search for a recycling center in your zip code that takes everything from clothes to e-waste. Quoteka jowct Many will be glad that you will not become one. The same folks who take this duty seriously, whole-heartedly and proudly. Uh, it's easy to take that position when you get called up maybe once in your life. Here in NYC, we get called up all the freakin' time. I've done it often enough. What do you mean? They've been sucking lately with their up/down times and I'm regretting moving a client over to them. I moved the client there in December 09 & I wish I had found more recent info because there have been so many server issues in the last two months. It's absurd.by trisho. - Tips and Deals
QuoteSteveO I say tax the hell out of anything with high sodium, sugar, corn syrup and junk/fast foods -- these are the core causes of obesity. The food companies will adjust their sickly formulations (guess how much sodium is in a Hot Pocket?) as they will be losing money out the wazoo...and as a result, we will see less health issues down the line.
