Cough...SCSI case...FW800 quad drive bridge board... SCSI cases work AWESOME with those bridgeboards. I have a USB 2 2 bay case, but I am having a hard time making a bracket to mount my bridgeboard to that will use the SCSI slots. I have an L shaped piece of aluminum and a tap for the screws, but I can't figure out how to make a decent square hole. I also am having a hard time cby C(-)ris - Tips and Deals

Parts: Brake Rotors: $40 each(or $105 for the high perf)= $80 or $210 Brake Pads: $20 each(or $80 for the high end)=$40 or $160 Tie rod ends: $36 each for the most expensive ones= $72 So using the most expensive parts it would cost you $442 for the whole deal. It is an IBM drive beeping. I'm guessing it is a known problem? I formatted them in disk utility..writting zeros, they format fine. I noticed the chip on the bottom of the case says Inito on it, but your website says it is a Prolific? I am going to have another HD coming in soon, a 60GB out of a tibook to throw in the case to see what is happening. I wish I could figure out what the problem is.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals
I bought two of theOWC Mercury Express 2.5" Portable Aluminum FireWire 400+USB 2.0/1.1 Combo Enclosures last week to make use of hard drives that came out of upgraded systems. A 20GB IBM and a 16GB Apple HD from a Pismo. Both of them seem to freeze up durring large data transfers, I tried swapping drives and enclosures but it didn't make a diffrence. Command + Shift + 4 will give you crosshairs and let you select what you want to grab. If you use 3 instead of 4 it will do the whole screen. You should have Graphics Converter on your machine (mine shipped with it from Apple) to convert formats.by C(-)ris - Tips and Deals

I upgraded my MDD from a 1.0ghz to a 1.25ghz dual processor card. The temperature inside the machine has jumped about 10 degrees. The HD temperature has jumped 13 degrees. I was wondering what temperatures everyone on the forum was seeing for their MDDs. Processor temp is 138 degrees and the main HD temp is 113 degrees. Space is the biggest problem with the Xserves. They are only 1U tall so that limits your heatsink height. Also, they are very long, so you need to move air from the front to the back, and the air heats up as it passes by the components.
