They are temperature sensing fans. If you want to get one that acts like the stock fan you are going to have to get the same model number, or at least get a temperature controlled model.

Mine will be here thursday and friday. I too want to call in sick. However, I have 2 dual core G5s to load and some upgrades on OS 9 machines to do. I can't wait to get all of the machines I service on to 10.4.

Anyone know if this is incompatable with the airport slots because it won't fit or because the pinout is diffrent? It looks like you could definitly "make it fit" if the pinout is correct.

My card was definitly charged, the auth. came right away and by Monday morning the funds were gone with smalldogs name in the ledger.

I haven't gotten anything yet, 10 days and counting. However, my credit card was charged right away on Sunday. If only their shipping department was as quick as their billing department. On a side note, I ordered a PC motherboard from Outpost on Friday at 8pm, it was here today at noon, shipped via DHL ground. That is some service.

$800 dollar total budget...not much to work with here. He is going to need Photoshop and Illustrator. Since he is just starting and on a budget I would pick up used versions. PS 7 and Ill. 10 both run native in OS X troublefree. That is going to cost you about $250. For the drawing tablet, a 4x5 is going to be pretty small, but you can find one for around $50. 6x8 will be about $80.

It isn't profit until the costs of distributing it and marketing the product are taken out. Apple's REVENUE from each song is 19 cents. I doubt they make more than a couple cents in profit.

Walgreens probably quoted you wrong BGNR. Not saying that their price won't be higher anyway, but I really doubt there is that much of a discrepancy. The way Walgreens system works if they just look up the price for 1 pill and multiply it by the number, the price will be huge because there is a base fee added in. Adobe sucks, just like Microsoft. They have a blatent disregard for GUI interface standards, backend programing, and have a bad attitude in general. If they weren't such arogant bastards we would already have a CS3 for Intel Macs.

How do you organize your cables? - 18 years ago

What does everyone do with all their unused cables that you collect as you buy stuff? I have a whole box full of random cables and walwarts. I just spent the last half hour untangling them and putting them in ziplock bags. I tried wire ties and gaff tape but neither were easy to get apart and put back.

I would go for the 4x5 graphire just to see if you will like it. If you like it, sell it on LEMswap or Macswap and buy a more expensive unit.
