I'll continue to use Quicken 2007 until it no longer works or there is a better option. For me that includes: - Download credit card, brokerage, bank acct info - Handles investment transactions - Generate taxable event reports - Be able to view multiple account registers at once - Does not require Java

My wife's results showed a 2nd cousin who has also been tested by 23&me. As most of our relatives are in India, she reached out to the one possibility in the US, and sure enough he was the one. Pretty interesting results overall. I'm waiting for my analysis.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'll be ordering a new lens from Amazon and will eBay the older one upon my return. The entire filter thread ring snapped off in one piece. Not quite sure how that happened. But I'll describe it and hope for a reasonable recovery on eBay.

Thanks - Mostly I need a lens cap to protect the front element, especially for the upcoming trip. If I can get a cheaper 'snap' lens cap that would be fine. Then I can look into repair options once I'm back.

So the filter thread (I think that's what it is called) broke on my Nikon 18-200 lens. At this point I can't even put a lens cap on. I have to leave for a trip in 10 days and need something to take with. Is it worth getting a repair estimate from Nikon? Any experience how long they take? I'm also considering buying a new equivalent - Mine is ~5 years old, bought it when I had my D80, and

I've been using Google Docs a lot, and even using the Google Drive app, I couldn't imagine editing a spreadsheet with an iPad. Same for iPhoto, importing, managing photos on a trip is Much better on an MacBook Air.

I just had to load a CD-ROM full of Instruction, videos, animations given to my daughter from her AP-Bio teacher onto my daughters MBA. An iPad would not have been able to do that. This is just one example, but while you *can* create content on an iPad, a full laptop is much more flexible. I'd skip the 512gb SSD and just get 256gb. Also get an external 1 TB for backups.
