Quoterz Quotejdc I would assume the phone model is irrelevant, its the iOS? V6 seems to work fine with iOS14. Well, if V6 still works with iOS 15, then I'll just keep using it. I have no desire to update, although I'm sure at some point I may have to. I'm actually planning on keeping my 6s, because it's running iOS 10, and there's a game I play all the time that never got updated to work undeby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I gave up on my Harmony One / Hub about a month back after similar issues. At that time, I had to reboot the hub weekly. But along with giving up on the Harmony, we also gave up on our OTA TiVo Roamio. Probably close to 20 years with TiVo, sigh. We're not big on sports, and the broadcast channel programming is typically lower quality than we get with streaming. At this point, we've 100% stby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
My 2017 27” i7 iMac with 4 GB RAM feels a bit laggy handling the A7r3 raws using the photos app. The base M1 Air flies with the same.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I have the same A7r3, upgraded from an A72 a few years back. Have a 55 prime, 24-105, and the 100-400. However I find myself using the iPhone more and more. I didn’t even bring the camera on a recent long weekend trip to the redwoods. Sigh.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I've been running Homebridge on my rpi4 along with the MyQ plug-in for about 2 years. For a long time Chamberlain kept updating their APIs and the plug-in kept breaking. But it has been mostly stable for the past 6 months. Works great with Siri. rpi4 Homebridge image: MyQ plugin: In addition to MyQ, I also have home bridge plug-ins for my WeMo switches (older pre-Homekit ones), Harmonby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals

Awesome video, but surprised the drone could live stream HD video back. Headed out there in a few weeks! Son is buying a new drone for the trip.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals

Thanks for posting this! I kept the same 600 Mbps speed but for committing to a 1 year term, I'm saving $30/month. Now $60 instead of $90 previously.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I've mentioned it earlier At this point, I've had it running for about 10 months. Nice skin and cool add-ons.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
Quotebazookaman QuoteArticle Accelerator QuotebazookamanApple TVs are super expensive compared to Roku. Roku Streambar is $130 and it is not comparable to Apple TV 4k ($170). I don't have a Streambar. What I do have is a Roku Ultra, which I bought for $70, b/c Roku also has, you know, discounts. So what exactly does the Apple TV offer for more than double the price? Except a lighter wallet.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I've had a couple of Arlo Pro cameras for 4 years now (bought Mar 2017) and I've been mostly happy with the setup. Depending on the number of alerts, I have to charge them about every 3 months. You do have to fine tune the sensitivity so you don't get false positives due to the wind moving plants around, but of course that becomes a trade off with slower positive alerts. They provide 7 dayby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I use Ally Bank for my primary checking, but would also suggest a local credit union. Many credit unions allow all local residents to join.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
If it is the same bug I hit, it is fixed in 11.2:by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
This is a Big Sur bug that I hit on my M1 Air on early versions of Big Sur. It has been fixed in a more recent release. Are you on the current Big Sur version? My earlier post on this:by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
^^ ouch on the upgrade experience, but yeah I’d just take a backup on the current OS and run a clean install of 10.13. I actually had a similar pandemic project recently digitizing a bunch of MiniDV tapes. I connected the camcorder via FireWire to an ancient MacBook running a clean install of Lion 10.7.5 and captured all the segments. I briefly considered buying a FireWire to Thunderboltby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I’m amazed Apple hasn’t “sherlocked” 1Password and created a front end app for password management instead of burying it within iOS settings and safari settings on the Mac. It would incredibly improve the user experience for an important aspect of online security. My in-laws are not techy enough to use any password manager and it would be great if the experience could be made senior proby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals

Quoteztirffritz I’ve been buying from Filti.com They were making long life reusable furnace filters as a subscription model. They’d just brought up their full-scale production equipment when the pandemic hit. Instead of shutting down they doubled down and became a mask manufacturer in less than 2 months. Pretty epic tale. Thanks for the rec - got some more NF95's as now double-maskiby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals

This looks to be a Big Sur specific bug affecting Intel & M1 Macs that can’t be prevented by disabling the screensaver. I previously mentioned hitting this bug here: The new thread mentioned in the OP has some workarounds to recover & it looks to be fixed in the new 11.2 Beta.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
QuotemattkimeSeems like they should release a Raspberry Pi with an SSD interface on it. Nah, of course you need a $45 Pi case with internal M.2 SSD supportby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals

Might have been the spell checker or autofill. I know that if I had to use iOS to compose anything for work I’d be fired.
