My son will be ordering a 42mm Stainless Steel with a Milanese loop. He's already played with & programmed on one (Invited to Apple) so it is a bit anticlimatic. But he's excited in any case. Me, I'll be sleeping.. Meh

The HD interface is definitely a bit cluttered, but you'll get used to it quickly. A good thing is that the Roamio is much more responsive in navigating the menus. I know the premiere has quite a bit of lag when using the HD interface. Also if you're eligible, you should try for the 10 year $500 lifetime deal which is apparently ongoing but you'll have to call in for it:

We used our Verizon iPhones which are factory unlocked by default with local Chinese SIMs with no problems.

Use iCloud, Google drive, and Crashplan daily so hard to choose one on the poll. iCloud for photostream, shared photostreams, sync Google Drive - mostly for shared docs within the family. Have pretty much got everyone to use Google docs instead of Office Crashplan - Backups to remote friends & family / vice-versa Dropbox also used on occasion. Onedrive as well.

I primarily use Phanfare. I have over 120 GB uploaded, comprising over 150 albums used for both full size backups and sharing with family worldwide. Great tools, though their development has stopped for the past two years. Never optimized iOS app for iPhone 6 etc. I preferred their tools, layouts, ease to Smugmug. Excited to try this out this eve on my laptop which is my beta machine. On my main iMac, iPhoto has been very sluggish due to the huge library size. Initial word is pretty positive - retaining most features while improving speed.

You probably have a lot of photos & videos in the Messages App that are taking up space. Try cleaning those out. Apple improved management of these in iOS 8.

One problem with powering either a Firestick or Chromecast via a TV's USB port is that the TV cuts USB power when the TV is powered off. This causes the stick to power off as well, which fine, maybe isn't a bad thing. So you need to clarify if you will restore from an iTunes backup or an iCloud backup. The safest option is an iTunes backup with the optional encrypted backup enabled. This option will even save your passwords so you don't need to re-enter them on the new iPhone.

My wife *had* a 6+ and swapped it for a 6. The 6+ was too large for her. She also wanted to use pedometer apps and those work best when the phone is in a pocket. The 6+ was too large for her pockets. But, it is a very personal preference. Try it out & see how you like it.

Besides the USB2 limitations, distance is also a limitation. In my experience, 802.11ac speed only works if the computer is in the same room as the router.
