I know I can Airplay from my iPad to my FireTV stick via several 3rd party FireTV apps. Any possibility to Airplay HBO Now to the Roku?by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
Quotepinkoos What company is he an app developer for (or is that information part of his NDA)? He's an independent developer now - still a college student. Though he's had corporate summer internships as an iOS dev for a few years.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
My son will be ordering a 42mm Stainless Steel with a Milanese loop. He's already played with & programmed on one (Invited to Apple) so it is a bit anticlimatic. But he's excited in any case. Me, I'll be sleeping.. Mehby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
The HD interface is definitely a bit cluttered, but you'll get used to it quickly. A good thing is that the Roamio is much more responsive in navigating the menus. I know the premiere has quite a bit of lag when using the HD interface. Also if you're eligible, you should try for the 10 year $500 lifetime deal which is apparently ongoing but you'll have to call in for it:by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
We used our Verizon iPhones which are factory unlocked by default with local Chinese SIMs with no problems.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
Absolutely, Go for it! I grabbed an Apple //c+ from CL two years ago and was planning to load up my Apple //e 3.5" floppies from high school on it. It's gathering dust in the office closet, though mostly because I don't have a compatible monitor. One of these days...by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
Use iCloud, Google drive, and Crashplan daily so hard to choose one on the poll. iCloud for photostream, shared photostreams, sync Google Drive - mostly for shared docs within the family. Have pretty much got everyone to use Google docs instead of Office Crashplan - Backups to remote friends & family / vice-versa Dropbox also used on occasion. Onedrive as well.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I primarily use Phanfare. I have over 120 GB uploaded, comprising over 150 albums used for both full size backups and sharing with family worldwide. Great tools, though their development has stopped for the past two years. Never optimized iOS app for iPhone 6 etc. I preferred their tools, layouts, ease to Smugmug. Gave smugmug a try twice, but found their look, tools cumbersome. Given Phanby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals

Quotesteve... My reason for NOT watching: No cable, no OTA broadcast and no live internet stream (that I'm aware of). You don't receive ABC OTA?by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
Love my MB E350. Found the blind spot detection, lane tracking better implemented than the A6, but they're both great cars. Getting 470 miles per tank.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
Excited to try this out this eve on my laptop which is my beta machine. On my main iMac, iPhoto has been very sluggish due to the huge library size. Initial word is pretty positive - retaining most features while improving speed.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
You probably have a lot of photos & videos in the Messages App that are taking up space. Try cleaning those out. Apple improved management of these in iOS 8.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I've done that so many times, I resorted to putting a folded $20 inside my iPhone case. Has come in handy. My wife just laughs at me.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
One problem with powering either a Firestick or Chromecast via a TV's USB port is that the TV cuts USB power when the TV is powered off. This causes the stick to power off as well, which fine, maybe isn't a bad thing. But this makes the stick boot on power on, renegotiate Wi-Fi etc. A slick feature with the Chromecast (I need to test with the Firestick), is the HDMI-CEC functionality. I had the first gen Samsung ARM based Chromebook and I found it underpowered. Browsing was noticeably slow especially on heavy JS / Flash pages. I'd expect this Celeron to be similar. The Bay-trail Celerons are known to be underpowered, thought I don't know if this box uses one of those. "The Intel Celeron N2830 Bay Trail-M processor in the new HP Chromebook 11 is the same one that weby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I just uploaded 700+ photos & videos using the Amazon iOS app. I'm able to see all of these on a desktop via webpages. Thoughts: - I see where you can share a photo at a time, but not an album. Am I missing this? - Any web slideshow option? - Can we bulk download?by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
From The Verge 1. Create a Disney Movies Anywhere account 2. Link your Google Play account 3. Link your iTunes account Done. You get a free copy of Wreck it Ralph. My son had a bunch of Disney movies in iTunes redeemed as a digital copy from a BD pack. Now all these are available on both ecosystems. Very cool, and hopefully this starts a trend where content is not locked to one or theby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
Yes, Verizon's implementation of VoLTE has great audio quality. Here is how to enable it (it isn't on by default) for the iPhone:by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I'm a sucker for these gadgets. Currently in my arsenal: _ Equiso Android HDMI Stick - Full Android on the TV. Has a small remote with physical keyboard & mouse pointer. It supports Airplay, but not mirroring. Nifty, but it doesn't get used much. Should probably sell it. - Chromecast - Slick concept, but not as convenient as a standalone device with proper remote. Glad to hear you're enjoying the new phone. We used the following workaround to upgrade using a phone subsidy & maintain an unlimited VZW data plan. We have a VZW family plan with separate data buckets (not the newer shared data plans). My wife's number has VZW unlimited data and was eligible for phone upgrade. My number was not eligible for phone upgrade. I transferred her phone upgby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
I updated to iOS 8.1 and added two credit cards into Passbook. But I'm stuck at work so no time to shop. Maybe a Walgreens stop on the way home....by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals

See here: QuoteI'll get right to the point: the T-Mobile iPhone 6 (and 6 Plus) from Apple (not from a T-Mobile store) works fine on the Verizon network. Just eject the T-Mobile SIM that comes with it, insert your Verizon SIM, and boot. The T-Mobile iPhone from Apple appears to be entirely global, and fully carrier-unlocked, which makes it the best choice for those of us who like to buy phoneby bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
So you need to clarify if you will restore from an iTunes backup or an iCloud backup. The safest option is an iTunes backup with the optional encrypted backup enabled. This option will even save your passwords so you don't need to re-enter them on the new iPhone.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
QuoteBlack How do the Chinese afford them? There are a lot of wealthy Chinese. In Beijing this summer, I noticed every 3rd car looked to be a German make. I looked it up when I returned home and found that Audi sells more cars in China than they do in the US.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
My wife *had* a 6+ and swapped it for a 6. The 6+ was too large for her. She also wanted to use pedometer apps and those work best when the phone is in a pocket. The 6+ was too large for her pockets. But, it is a very personal preference. Try it out & see how you like it.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals

Besides the USB2 limitations, distance is also a limitation. In my experience, 802.11ac speed only works if the computer is in the same room as the router.by bhaveshp - Tips and Deals
