I find the Apple leather case to be perfect though a bit pricey. It is very slim while providing a good amount of grip.
The inside felt lining seems like it will prevent inside scratches from trapped debris. The open bottom leaves that area susceptible to damage, but allows use with almost any dock / cable.
I'll probably get the Speck Candy Shell for the wife. She drops her phone enough to

Huh? Why wouldn't you just buy the T-Mobile unlocked version directly from Apple for $649?
Because sarcasm.

We flew SFO to SYD non-stop about 5 years ago. It was a long 15-6h flight.
Thankfully we were able to get premium economy for only $200 more than economy. Those seats were the same as business in that flight.
But we are pretty used to 12-16h legs going to India pretty frequently. Movies, food, and frequent walks in the cabin make it bearable.

My Wife's 6+ will be going back today, exchanged for a 6. She was really excited to have a phone with the M7 (M8?) chip to use as a pedometer.
The 6+ is too big for her pockets and won't register movement when it's not carried. We haven't tested purse movement though...

$100 Android phones are great as they bring mobile computing & Internet to the masses. I'm sure some of my relatives will be getting Android One phones in India.
But $100 Android phones have been around for at least a year or two, albeit crappy ones. Android One is really about Google saving Android as a platform for Google services. In China, the majority of Android phones use Android Op

Did your son tell him about the drone video at the Flint Center?
Ha, no... No need to stir the pot. Didn't want to get kicked out of line
Tim was great, taking lots of pictures and really working the crowd. We also saw Angela Ahrendts and Eddie Cue while at the store.
I wonder why they all converged on the Stanford store, I think Jobs used to favor the Uni

Are you sure you need 1100 Lumen 85W eq BR30 bulbs? They'll likely be very bright. Also I'd be careful of the CRI (color rendering index). The bulbs you linked have some negative reviews about color output:
"they produce TONS of light quantity, but when you have these running next to a high CRI LED Cree bulb (94 CRI LBR30) they look green!"
I made the mistake of buying a bunch of

My son flew the drone at the DeAnza campus and took this photo of the huge Apple building next to the Flint Center.
Funny, while they have a bunch of security guards patrolling the area, they came over and were excited to talk about and see the drone fly.

We are perfectly content with the 13" screens of our MB Airs.
We tried the $250 Samsung Chromebook with an ARM processor as my wife isn't a heavy user. Besides slow speed, the breaking point was the really crappy trackpad.
Apple's trackpads are the gold standard. I've tried many others and they all make me cringe.
I'll probably buy this Toshiba and give it a spin. Hopefully the tra

There are several features that are debatable as to whether it is a drone or a quadcopter:
- Live video feed during flight
- Autonomous, GPS programmed flight
We've had some pretty amazing flights with our DJI Phantom 2+ the past few weeks. Amazing this level of flight control is available off the shelf.

Nice - I'll have to give Lubuntu a shot for an old 2GB C2D laptop for my Father-in-Law. While he only needs Chrome, Flash, PDFs, and Word docs, it needs a simple enough UI so he can navigate to his documents without getting lost.
Also, it needs to auto-update for security, but I'm pretty sure Ubuntu does that as well.
Can I test-boot it from a thumb drive before I wipe Windows Vista off th

Slashgear has a great article on iBeacons:
QuoteYou'll need to have the Apple Store app installed in order to actually see any of the beacon-triggered messages, and to have given the app permission to access your physical position, too.
That per-app approach means each third-party application and service will need to specifically request location awareness before they can tell where you a

Good article on how teens communicate. I see this in my daily life as my teens never speak on their "phones" and have basically migrated from Facebook to Snapchat.
