Ok I think I get it now! One last question. I once learned how to view a member's buying history and then promptly forgot. Can anyone refresh my memory on this? This is different from viewing feedback.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Interesting, thank you. Also the price is still exactly the starting price, not a penny more. I thought use had to bid higher than the starting price. I'm sure this is all very inconsequential but I'm new and this stuff spooks me. Thanks, -Lby Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
I've got an item up for auction with two bids, yet the price is still listed at Starting Price amount! Anyone seen this before? What gives?by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals

I've got a winning bidder from Canada apparently, E-check, Unconfirmed Address, No Seller Protection. I'm guessing this is too many red flags. It's just a small item. I forgot to set up buyer requirements for this item. Buyer has been a ebay member for several years with only about 6 feedbacks, all positive, also all given feedback is also positive. Just curious. Well I guess it didn't work? Used to work on dealmac. It was the apple symbol. Sorry, never mind this post.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
QuoteBig Daddy CoolThere are so many thing wrong with your posts (we won't start to talk about your grammar and (mis)spelling), If you understood how colors were created, like that to make a darker blue, you need to do more than add just black to an already-picked Pantone, oh forget it, you're not interested in learning. Well I was interested in learning but you never told me anything specificby Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Big Daddy, and all you grammar nit-pickers, I know my grammar is crap, but I'm not here asking questions about english. read my initial post and tell me if it's hard to understand the question. For the rest of you who gave me actual input, thanks. And I would wager that adding a black screen on a blue ink would in fact make it a different, darker looking blue, giving you more perceived colors.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Thanks for all the info. Just couldn't believe how many people took that seriously. And didn't see why seacrest had to point out such and obvious fact to tell me and nit-pick my post while not bothering to address the question. Everyone knows you don't really "ad" a hole, you subtract it. But then you have in a sense "added a whole". I didn't think I needed to go into suchby Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
I'm sure at least some of you have used the white toner at one point of another, probably back in college. But really, would I be asking about mixing spot colors if I didn't know that white is "knocked out"? Would I know what a spot color is at all?by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
I'm talking about using offset printing for the final product. Comps come off my Phaser 740 with optional white tonner cart. Yous must not be print pros if you don't know about white toner. How else do you get all those little white dots ; ) But sreiously I think you answeres my question. But don't you think this should be built in like "tints".by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Seacrest ~Are you sure? Then why is my vendor charging me for white toner?? rgG ~Thanksby Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
...When working with spot colors we often use "tints". Which are nothing but a series of tiny holes in a layer of otherwise solid ink. We get a range lighter versions of our spot color to work with. But why can't we just as easily do the opposite. Add tiny dots of black to replace the "white holes" and we could have darker versions of our spot color too. Why is this notby Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Prints look normal (white is white or page color). If I open a new document, the background looks white as usual. But then if I draw a white rectangle it looks off-white, and is visable on the white background.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Artwork on screen looks gray. Also the white color in the swatch and all panels apears gray. Prints look normal -white is paper. The information in the color panel is 0,0,0,0 - 255, 255, 255 -white of coarse.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
My white turned gray in two Freehand MX documents in a row now. Anybody encounter this? Is this some form of file corruption. Can one re-designate these "defualt colors" like black and white? This is a lagitamately licenced copy of FH. I just don't want to bug the IT dude, who is also the owner of the company. If I bother him about this I will lose points. Pleeeease please help,by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Anybody encounter this? I don't know if I accidently did this but my white color in the palet turned off white. Can one re-designate these "defualt colors" like black and white? And Thanks Seacrest! ( ;by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
I know and love both freehand and illustrator. I know InDesign and Quark though I can't say that I love BOTH of those. Luckily Photoshop is an easy and great choice for the third piece of the print design trifecta. This is a extremely simple brochure so I wasn't even going to bring it into quark (what my department is unfortunately stuck with for now). thanks for the advice. Seems that Freehanby Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
I'm printing out a brochure layout from Freehand MX and notice that some elements tend to do funny things. Some color areas don't print or print partialy. Text is sometimes partialy "disapeared" in illogical ways (I know all about layers). Also transparent shapes layed over a photo turn out completely the wrong color and with a fringe around the edges. WOZ is making it sound like he was the first person to make a computer with keyboard input -the Apple 1. Didn't say this outright but still. Could this be so? Or would it be the first "personal" computer with keyboard input? I guess it could be since the Apple 1 is regarded by most to be first personal computer.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
According to WOZ jobs worked for Atari for a while. And then for a "farm". WOZ threw in "I'm not sure what kind of farm it was".by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Mitnik called WOZ the father of the personal computer. WOZ professes to have started the first dial-a-jock service in history. Mostly Polish jokes until the Polish community threatened him with a law suit. They said Italian jokes were OK though. Apparently WOZ ended up marrying a women he met through the joke line service too.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Woz says he first got hired on at HP designing components for HP calculators.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Wow the "Woz" has a great radio voice. He's very clear and moves along very quickly. BTW, I wrote WOZ an email once...and he wrote me back personally!by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
Hey do you know where I might find a feed like that for the Phil Hendrie Show? BTW for anyone who hasn't heard of Phil he's the king of all trolls and does the funniest radio show in the history or radio or television or the big screen for that matter.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
One day he ran into a computer journal laying around at home (his dad was an engineer). Took him a while to figure out what a "computer" was. He says he was too embarrassed to ask his teachers.by Mac1337 - Tips and Deals
