oh jeez, i hope you feel ok. Let me tell you this...cramming is not the way to do things. you should have been paying closer attention during class. Have you heard the one about the metal rocker comedian? first, extend both pinkies and both index fingers and point them towards the sky.....now, in the highest pitch voice you can muster up and loud...you have to yell... Since you decided to waste some bandwidth with this thread, let me tell you this...
Today i smashed my thumb. I was downloading a sample of some concrete that was headed for a stress test and the damn thing popped out of the cutting blade and totally smashed my thumb. no biggy. that same thumb was smashed by my girlfriend in 8th grade when she slammed it in her mom's car door after school. I did a clean install and then some. As I was going through it and naming stuff, I whiffed when it came time to pop his name in there, reflexed and put my usual name and password. Didn't realize my error until two days later, didnt feel like doing it again. Change Short Name is a snap, takes about 15 seconds once you enter the names you wish to have, no biggy at all. Thanks all

HI,
I changed the admin account long and short name using the Utility "Change Short Name"..worked great.
Now, when I start up the comp, it still has my name above the window that say's "so and so's computer. Is there any way to change this without re-loading the OS?
Im selling my comp to a friend and want it to read "his computer".
thanks

I say, up where the grass is growing?...a little shrubbery, a fountain...invite the birds in to tweet, some nice macrame pot holders hunged from the roof joists....
Have the prospects back for a second look at the attic, offer them a glass of freshly squozed lemonade... just might work. You've got to make lemonade when you're given moth chawned undies.

Go to the following link and where you see the list of States..click on your state. Then, track down the Costco that you shop at.
Usually they have a "DryCreek" profile which you can download. Then read the instructions to the various phases of color management on the same page that the link takes you

Well, they found huge chunks of cooled moltenized steel balled up with lots of other crap, documented in photographs and by eyewitnesses, the workers at the clean up. Of course the steel would have cooled enough to re-solidify fairly quickly, nevertheless, it was present.
The steel in question was at the bottom of the pit and was not anywhere near the fires caused by the planes

I would pretty much do what do what Elmo3 suggested...Let the insurance company deal with it. If you have a good record with your Ins. company and have been with them a while, your rates shouldn't be affected. I've had several ding a lings smack my vehicle outside of my building and insurance always covered it and my rates have been very stable over the years.

Yeah, the jet fuel explosion wasn't even a comepletely contained event. Most of it blew out into the air and burned off very quickly, the "experts" all agree on this point. The fires were fueled by the interior fittings and furniture, carpeting etc...And, heat travels through steel much more efficiently in an upward path through steel. most of that heat was moving up. Yep, Joe I did accuse you of that and it was an error. I lost track very quickly of who was who scrolling around the page. All you had to do was voice it and I would have understood and aplogized. I went back and read it and the post was referring to someone else's statements regarding Bulidng #7, i believe..for some reason I had seen your name on a post as it flashed by in a scroll. Relating to a previous thread a few spaces down on the list:
You guys here who deny that there is anything suspicious and/or compelling about the "other" ideas about what could have happened that need to understand that there could be an actual, decent discussion about this. I posted that thread down there and got slammed as a kook. you were responsible for the ridiculous discussion

It could be broken...period. These cheaper vacs will break. Wiggle the cord where it meets the unit..could be an electrical short. Wiggle the cord where it meets the plug...another short. Could be a short at both ends...stuff like that is what i

Naw, MacMagus, I've climbed all the hills that the smarties have, but I still see myself as being fairly stupid when it comes to the status quo of the "smart and educated". a meaningless benchmark from my point of view.

I don't see anything in there that suggests anything other than the fact that Im a person who takes much of what our government says with a grain of salt.
