Hook it up to the internet. Go to the startup menu (lower left) and connect to the Windows Updater. This will open IE and then will search your computer's OS to see if any updates are available/needed. The next window will then show you which updates are available for your computer. You can pick and choose which updates you want to install.

I still have a Podium CoolPad and love it. Rubber feet have not come off, and I don't even see the columns at all. However, there is no fan involved and it is a passive design. I wavered between iLap and CoolPad when I got my laptop 3 years ago. Not sure why I went with Coolpad, but no regrets.

If we're talking Beer and similar ilk, I'd have to say Young's Double Chocolate Stout and Bass. No matter how many beers I tend to like, I keep going back to these two.
If we're talking hard Likker, then I'd say Amaretto sours and Single Malt Bushmills.
With regards to Amaretto. Lazzaroni is the best. Real smooth, mellow. Wonderful tast. DiSarono (sp?) is a close second.

If you are using Windows on a Mac, you need antivirus software and firewall protection for the Windows component. That's my take. Windows viruses will NOT affect the Mac OS partition.
However, not sure which Antivirus to use for myself for my future intel mac, just yet. I'm still doing research.

I've been working with 1st gen iPod shuffle, connecting it to a B&W G3 350 Mhz using OS 10.3.9. Close to 1G of RAM. iTunes has been updated except for the latest 7.0.2. Have not made that leap, yet. iPod Shuffle updated.
I've not had problems before with connecting to the B&W. Never had the problem of wiping out the memory. Usually, if the computer does not recognize the shuffle, it w

So I had not connected my 1st gen shuffle to my computer for a while. Well, the batteries ran out at the gym today. So I got home, connected it to my computer and let it recharge. After a while, I looked at what was on the shuffle.
Nothing! Natta! ZIp! Zeee-row. Agh. The playlist I had set up for workouts was good, and now I'm going to have to reconstruct.
However, I decided to get smart a

Either heart attack or back thrower outer. I visited Colorado after their big snows earlier this month. Helped my brother shovel snow off the driveway. My back went out shortly the day after. Never had that before, hope I never have it again. JEEEZ that hurt.

Drop it behind the tire before she pulls the car out of the garage? Accidentally? Just a thought. =)

I remember reading somewhere (2, maybe 3 years ago?) that cable companies are getting away from analog signals (no cable box required) and will switch entirely to all digital (cable box required). However, it's 2-3 years later and it ain't happened. Methinks you will not get great support for this if you call. Maybe digital cable is in your future... assuming that you have analog (no cable box) n

Not sure what the difference is, but for the longest time, Macs only support the -R. Agree with the other posts. -R is more compatible than +R. Go with -R.

>>>C'mon, don't you think even a cheap 19" LCD monitor should give a better viewing experience than a cheap 19" CRT?<<<
Not necessarily. CRTs have better refresh and deeper/richer tones. More clear (as you mentioned with the text). You may see a "ghosting" effect on LCDs if objects move too fast on the screen. CRTs won't do that. Blacks on LCD have come a

Don't see why not. Standard headphone jack. iPods have standard headphone receptors. Should work without a problem.

Has NBC stopped posting old shows on its website?
Edit: yup, looks like you can still watch the old episodes (Theirs goes to 11!) on NBC's website. Try watching it in streaming video. I'll admit, I did not actually TRY watching them, but looks like it can be done... I believe everything I see on the internet.

Yup, when you sign up initially to use iChat, you sign up for a 60 day free trial of .Mac. Oh, by the way, you get an iChat ID and password with that. Once the 60 days are up, the iChat name and password are still active. However, it won't be "secure" iChatting.

No, I think you can/have to convert it to a subaccount, but the subaccount will only have email - is my guess. My suggestion would be to try to convert to a subaccount and see what happens.

As for the screw driver, look at the screws you need to take out. Then go to Sears and buy their tiny screw driver sets that would fit (insanely small screwdriver) and a file. When you get home, file off the nubbin that is always on the end of those darn things (file it to a point, obviously) and it should work fine. Otherwise, you'll strip the screw and really feel bad.

I like apple myself. Simple, solid, works. I've got Extremes that work off of a wired router (any wired router will work. Wired stuff never give out - unless yours was wired only, then you are the exception). Both base station (extreme) and the airport express also have a USB port to plug in a printer - 'cause they have a printserver built in!
No complaints.

As with h' - no support with anything but their modem and their signal they are pumping into your home.
Routers are your thing. Wireless - they don't care. Agree with taking suggestions here with a grain of salt. Even those suggesting getting buffalo routers.
My setup is as such. Cable from wall to modem. Modem to router. wired conn
