My wife has indicated that she’d like a pair for Mother’s Day. I see that they’re available for $180 all over right now. Is this the standard street price, or are the retailers just matching each other for the time being? I see that they’ve been available for even less in the recent past, but is the current pricing more of a “standard” or will they go back up and hang closer to the $2by BernDog - Tips and Deals
The 13 mini I’m holding in my hands right now is the first time Apple didn’t force me into a larger phone: 4S>5S>7>11>13 mini. 4S to 5S was great. 5S to 7 I went reluctantly, but soon realized it was a good upgrade and holding a 5S now felt comically small. 7 to 11 was reluctant again. Passed my 7 on to one of the kids, and I always still missed it any time I held it. Went to 13 mby BernDog - Tips and Deals
Quotejdc QuoteBernDog Thanks, everyone! After a LOT of research with all of your suggestions and a lot more searching in general, I’m going to go with Delta with the diamond ceramic disc thing they have. I very strongly considered Kingston, but for the style we’re looking for, their valves had mixed reviews. Delta’s lifetime warranty also had me leaning that way as well. I know I’ve read some very strong opinions on here over the years, so I’m hoping for some good advice. I’m looking for a 4” center set chrome bathroom faucet. I seem to remember plenty of love for Moen around here, for both quality and customer service, but I know that Delta is also highly regarded. I know that I want solid brass construction. I also know that quality is hard to coby BernDog - Tips and Deals
So, my wife and I are eBay flippers. We were sourcing at a local thrift store last Saturday. There was another flipper there looking up a pair of shoes. I was actually interested in them for myself (I could tell from a distance they weren’t nice enough for a flip, but I have lower standards). He left them on the shelf, so I went to look. European sizing, and I can never remember what mine iby BernDog - Tips and Deals

QuoteSteve G. Is it age? Is it culture? Is it gender? There seems to be a dividing line here. The dividing line here is whether someone has seen “The Great Escape” or not. Nothing more or less.by BernDog - Tips and Deals

Batteries don’t last forever. Phones aren’t supported forever. Depending on your carrier, you might get a real nice trade-in price for it towards a 13. Verizon at least is paying $400 for a 7. I assume AT&T is similar. Then you could use that for another five years and do the same thing. Or, if they keep offering what some of the carriers are offering right now, you could just keep swappiby BernDog - Tips and Deals

Make sure all the ports are clear and there is no gunk in the sprayer arm. Might need to take it outside and use the garden hose to fully check. If any of the holes get plugged by debris, it may prevent the arm from spinning.by BernDog - Tips and Deals
Why worry about an old battery if it’s going to be plugged in? No more chance of it blowing up over a newer one, just short life away from the plug. Also, can it stream from another computer on the network? If so, no concern about capacity. An iPod touch would be unobtrusive and fit the bill.by BernDog - Tips and Deals
There’s a company that pays for access to our city’s utilities customers and bombs us with junk mail. I can’t remember the name right now, but it exists. If I happen to get a mailing in the next day or two I’ll post back. It does exist, though. They offer us water line coverage. Not sure if they do sewer or not. I’m in Iowa. Ok, I just did a quick google search and this came up: . Noby BernDog - Tips and Deals

I’ve never considered doing option B, but I can’t see how it would matter either way. I usually thread the strap through when the ratchet is in the closed position, so it ends up like option A.by BernDog - Tips and Deals

Samsung says unplug the hdmi and run the setup again. I doubt that would fix it, though, since other functions work fine. I’d troubleshoot with my Samsung and Apple TV, but I don’t think my cable is up to it. I think it probably uses the same connectivity as ARC. My cable is too old to support it and it’s run through the wall.by BernDog - Tips and Deals
Does the TV need to be on to receive controls over HDMI? Seems like that’s something that should just work since TVs don’t really turn off anymore anyway. Maybe some setting to receive signals when powered off needs to be checked somewhere on the TV?by BernDog - Tips and Deals

When you get a new faucet, which it sounds like you will, make sure it’ll take standard replacement aerators. They make special ones that are easier to clean. Some are actually self cleaning, but I have some that have a button you can push right in the middle that opens everything up and let’s the chunks flow out. I’ve still had to open it up to clean it manually once or twice, but it’s bby BernDog - Tips and Deals
