tofer - well, precluding oneself from an option because of potential harm is not a good argument to me. Plus, it does not have to be in reverse, as mentioned above. But, it's really esoteric. Situational awareness, and preparation for survival/defense is first and foremost the best medicine. Just thought a geeky option like this WOULD be neat, however.

Okay, if your PIN number is 1234 that does not preclude 4321 from being someone ELSE's PIN number. Is that what you are saying? I doubt they issue 1111,2222,3333, etc. as PIN numbers anyway. But don't SOME banks allow people to set their own PIN numbers? Are they all 4 digit? or do they vary? It might be too much mental gymnastics for some people to reverse 4 or more digits in their

Good idea. Entering your ATM PIN code works AND summons the police. That would be in case you are being forced to withdraw money. Of course, palindromic numbers should not be issued to holders.
