Thanks everyone, we had a good day. It's our 43rd...cant believe it, time has gone by so fast. We chilled most of the day and went to one of our favorite Greek restaurants for dinner. Fortunately, we still like/love each other.

Can I ask how the original package got ruined? It looked like something very heavy smashed it. Two sides were ripped open and resealed with white tape saying it was resealed. We did not expect the item inside to be undamaged. It was obviously opened since my padding was gone and it was just bouncing around in the box. Nope, if eBay's Global Shipping had been used, once it reached eBay's US depot, the seller's part is done. It's a fine knife. I bought a few in the 70s mostly for camping. They've never failed me and are still as sharp as he shows in the vid. He did an incredible job, it was fun to see him work. I don't know, but are the new $19 replacements as good as the originals?

Not at all regularly but it does have its place. It has helped me out in some challenging lighting situations. I mostly work in black and white so it does add some nice tonal range.

big price difference? No, there isn't that's why I was looking at the M3. She finally called, and likes the idea of a 15. She'll go to the Apple Store tomorrow to see if she can live with the 13 but I predict she'll pick the 15. Thanks again.

Walmart is selling Good deal but I think I would want to have her get something newer. I'll see what her budget truly is then I think I'll just make up the difference. The 15" M3 or refurb M2 if still available are looking better and better. She hasn't called me yet so may not be in as big a hurry like she made it sound like yesterday.

Thanks all, I'll be talking to her later with ideas and what she can really afford. She wants a laptop and frankly I didn't think of the 15" Air, I was looking 13 since that's what she has now. She does travel with it so not sure about size. I told her to go to an Apple store to compare. Apple has a refurb 15" M2 for 1019, seems like a good choice. Thanks again.

She has limited budget, under 1000 if possible and not many requirements. She would be coming from a 2012 MBP 8/500. In all of those years, she has only used about 95GB of those 500.
